They called him Deku. The whispers in the exorcist world called the angry, wailing demon Deku. The ruthless, murderous demon, Deku. No exorcising attempt could crush Deku, for the demon was full of rage and bubbling emotions too strong for low-level exorcists. They say the Demon, once a boy, a poor boy-, cried holy water, the purest holy water around. He'd weep his sorrows and anger in Aldera Middle School's hallways, throwing things around, screeching in rage, puddles of holy water following the demon's destructive path.

They say Deku's mouth was full of static-like teeth, rows upon rows of teeth shown as he screeched. His eyes were hollow, cold orbs of nothing but cold, white space. His body was stained black, ink pooling off his body, a ripped and torn Aldera Middle School gakuren. His body was nimble, bones hollow, fingers pointed and clawed. The children of the school say the Demon spends his days on the roof, howling its hot, boiling anger to the sky, holy water tears spilling down the sides of the school.

Sometimes it's silent. Sometimes it's too quiet, so quiet they wonder if the demon was there at all. Had he finally moved on? Stopped haunting their halls? By the time they started to celebrate, Deku was back, howling his righteous angered cries, ink spilling from cracks in the walls, windows clattering but never breaking, desks overturned, pools of pure, holy water on the floor.

The demon was angry, but they didn't know why.

The principal seemed to have enough of little, angry Deku haunting his halls, calling in the big guns, known for banishing Satan himself, Bakugou Katsuki. Katsuki stepped into the school, feeling his chest tighten with the rolling stench of anger and /sadness/ wafting off the walls, the smell burning his nose like bleach. Katsuki walked further into the school, nearing midnight, the night janitorial staff long quit at the beginning of Deku's reign of rage over the school. Katsuki had interviewed each of the night janitorial staff, and they all told the same story.

"There's a boy in the reflections of the mirrors and windows...big sad eyes, freckled and green hair...his eyes are so expressive...He always seemed to be clutching a notebook with bandaged hands..."

Although the retelling of their encounters with the mysterious boy in the reflections were different, the description matched each story. Katsuki had no name for the boy in the reflections; he could find nothing going into this job. Only information from the grapevine of exorcists trying to put Deku to rest, none succeeded. Not even Aizawa, who could banish a spirit with a single glance.

Groaning quietly, Katsuki clutched his supplies closer, his quiet steps echoing in the quiet halls. His ears pricked for anything disturbing the peace of the quiet school, but he heard nothing.

Until, only faintly, he heard static, whipping around, Deku stood at the end of the halls, claws dripping with oozing ink, the quiet 'plick' echoing. The two stared at each other for a moment before Katsuki looked in the reflection of the window. It didn't show a dangerous demon, ready to wreak havoc on Katsuki, no...

Green hair, expressive, big eyes, and a quivering lip. Katsuki returned his gaze to Deku, nearly stepping back in shock as a little kid stood in front of him, green hair, big expressive eyes, and a quivering lip. The boy's eyes widened, tears filling his eyes. The tears pooled over, spilling down his face like waterfalls. "You...- You can see me...?" The boy whispered, but it traveled quickly to Katsuki, who stood at the other end of the long hallway.

Katsuki nodded, watching the boy collapse, a choked cry echoing, soundly slightly distorted. "Oh god...! Someone ca-can see me!" The boy wailed, cupping his mouth. Katsuki walked closer, carefully. He was cautious, obviously. This was a demon he was dealing with. This all could be an act to make him let his guard down, then kill him when he's unguarded.

Standing a few feet away from the wailing teen, a body suddenly collided with his, making him stumble slightly as arms wrapped around his body, hugging him tightly. Katsuki's hands shot up, nearly dropping the vial of holy water he had brought, looking down to see the small greenette clinging to him. "P-Please don't leave...! They all left me! I don't wanna be alone!" The boy wailed, claws digging deep into his robes. Katsuki's eyes widened, sensitive nose picking up the anguish rolling off the small male holding him tight, smelling just like the sadness staining the hallways.

"I don't wanna go! Please don't try to send me away! I didn't want to hurt them, but I was sad! They pushed me away!" The teen cried, fisting the back of his robes.

Katsuki could feel the stench of anger wafting off the kid pick up a dangerous edge; the kid was a ticking time bomb of emotions. Quickly, with his logical brain supplying "calm him down, you dumbass! don't just stand there!" Katsuki carefully wrapped his arms around the small body clutching his, surprised his hands didn't faze through. "Shit, kid, calm down, talk to me, alright?" Katsuki spoke, carefully bringing them down to the floor. The boy did. He talked.

Katsuki merely listened.

Katsuki figured out the mystery greenette's name; Midoriya Izuku. A frail, quiet fourteen-year-old pushed over the edge (literally-). Katsuki found out everything about Izuku's life, his home life, his sweet, doting mother, absent dad, love for All Might, and how he had a dream of becoming a comic artist.

(Katsuki suddenly realized the notebook Izuku was clutching in the janitor's stories was the art book that he was clutching when it happened-) Katsuki was told how Izuku was dragged up to the roof one day by his main bullies and pushed off the edge savagely without a single glance. He learned how the school covered up his murder and made it look like a suicide case.

Izuku was already greatly hated in the town, the outcast, so they never looked into his case.

Izuku whimpered softly, laying in Katsuki's lap, eyes filling with tears, spilling onto Katsuki's hand that cupped his cheek, his tears absorbing into Katsuki's skin, making the man feel a zing go through his body, exhaustion cleared. "They called me Deku...Useless.." Izuku whispered, making Katsuki blink, looking down at the boy in his lap, no longer seeing green eyes look at him but hollow, white ones. Izuku's pale, freckled skin was marred, oozing sludge and ink, eyes over spilling with tears.

"I don't wanna go..." The boy whispered, scared. His claws dug into Katsuki's sides. Katsuki looked at Izuku, eyes full of sadness, hand pressed against the demon's chest, heart still and not beating, yet the boy was so full of life. "I know..." Katsuki whispered as Izuku's eyes closed, an ancient sigil burning into his skin, making him wince.

"Return to the darkness of the shadows, or the light of the earth, I banish thee," Katsuki whispered, watching Izuku disappear into nothing, wisps of black static fading away.

A rough, burnt, and slightly stained notebook dropped into Katsuki's lap; the cover had large, bold kanji on it spelling out, "HERO STORY FOR THE FUTURE #13" Katsuki carefully caressed the cover, standing up.

They called him Deku, monster, blood-thirsty, dangerous.

Katsuki called him Izuku, scared, alone, kind.
