Being a Lockwood is a good thing and a bad thing. I have been away from my family for a while that live in Mystic Falls, because I moved away with my parents. They died over the summer in a fatal car accident. I have been gone a year, and now I am back. I have no home so I will be living with my cousin, Tyler Lockwood, and my aunt, Carol Lockwood.

I approach the large estate with a grin on my face. I cannot wait to see everyone! I don't even knock. I push the large door open with my bags. Carol rushes in as she hears the door open. Her hair is still short and bob cut, she is still thin, and her green eyes still have so much joy. I am surprised that she continues smiling after losing her husband to the fire that occurred last year, and she even had to take the reigns of being the mayor. Carol puts her finger across her lips to keep me quiet as she hugs me. She looks up the long spiral steps in her home saying, "Tyler, sweetheart, someone is here to see you!" She glances back over at me saying, "It's good to see you again, Megan."

I can hear Tyler dragging himself down the stairs. Once he catches me out of the corner if his eye, he races down the stairs and takes me in his arms. I groan as his body hits mine. He has gotten bigger, stronger. His dark hair is still short. I whisper, "I missed you, Ty," into his ear as he pushes himself into my neck. I cannot help but smile. To some people Tyler may seem like a jackass, but he and I have been through a lot together.

Tyler sets me back on the ground and he says, "I wanted to show you something at the Grill!" The Mystic Grill is a place of many memories for me. I just agree. My hair my be curled nicely and my green eyes may look tired. I may be wearing a short little black many skirt and a purple flowing shirt, but I don't care. I want to see this town, every inch of it, again. We set my things in my new room and we head to the Grill.

He sends me in first and I walk into a dark room. I know I haven't been here for an while but I am sure the Grill isn't closed. Is that what Ty brought me here to show me? I whip around to him and start to yell at him about doing so. Then, I hear a loud, SURPRISE, from behind me. I turn back around and the lights are back on confetti is flying around and there are balloons. All my friends are here! They came to welcome me home! Everyone is here: Elena and Jeremy Gilbert, Caroline adores (my best friend), Matt Donovan, Damon and Stefan Salvatore, and Bonnie Bennett! I can't stop grinning! I just ran up and hugged everyone.

I go to Elena first, "Elena, you look so good! How are you and Stefan?"

She responds, "Good. We had a few hard months, but we are better now."

I tell her we will talk later about that, and I move on to Jeremy. Jeremy and I have always been close. I never treated him like he was younger. I said to him, "Look at you, Jer! You're all grown up!" He laughs and pulls me into a tight hug.

I then go to Caroline. I love her so much! Seeing her just makes me light up. I don't even say anything. We don't have to. I just embrace her. I know this past year was a crazy one for her, and I wasn't here. I walk up to Matt and jump on him. I had a crush on Matt in sixth grade, but know I guess you could say that he is one of my beet guy friends. The scratch in his voice is still there, which I love. I give Bonnie a hug and thank her for coming, and the same with Stefan.

The last person I approach is Damon Salvatore. A smirk crosses his face as he examines me up and down. I laugh, "What are you even doing here? I never saw or thought of you as the welcoming committee type."

Damon reaches out and wraps his arms around my waist to pull me hard into him, "I have to be for you! I would hear crap about it later." I giggle and agree with him. I throw my arms around his neck. I always feel safe with Damon. He may be a huge dick, but he hasn't been to me yet. I am still waiting for him to cross that line.

Later that night, I am strolling out of the Grill totally waisted. The owner wasn't there; so Matt was able to crack into the alcohol. I run my hand through my now rated black hair and groan. Tyler left with Car, and I have no way home, fun. Then, I hear a beeping from me and notice a black Mercedes. The window rolls down and it's Damon. He says that I need to go with him. He will take me back to his place so that I don't go home to Carol like this.

We walk into the large Salvatore boarding house and I sit down on the coach while Damon pours himself a drink. We sit there and talk for a while. I don't know why he's not drunk. Normally he is wasted before me. He then guides me up to his room where I guess I will be sleeping. I crawl into his bed, and he heads for the door. I look up at him and call after him. Damon's blue eyes meet mine, "Stay, it's your room." He grins and slowly climbs into be next to me. He doesn't try to do anything. I am very surprised.

I just begin to ramble. Drunk ramble. I am laying on my side facing him, under his silk covers when I start talking, "You know everyone thinks I don't know what's going on here, but I do." Damon looks over at me, gaining interest. I continue, "Everyone thinks I am stupid, and don't realize anything different."

"What are you talking about, Megan?" Damon whispers turning on his side to be level with me.

I sigh, "I am a freaking Lockwood for shit's sake! I know about vampires!" Damon's expression goes from surprised to worried as I continue, "I know you're one."
