A/N: Guess who's back... back again.
I know I didn't update for a few weeks but when I tell you, I wrote four drafts for this chapter...
The beginning's boring, but stick with me, you won't regret it (hopefully).
HARRY'S POV -
"Blankets?" Eden calls, tossing her beanie to me.
"Blankets."
"Basket?"
"Basket."
"Something warm?"
"Hoodies." I hold up two hoodies I'd set aside for the both of us. "And us... also gas, we do need gas." She notes and I nod, folding up the hoodies and placing them atop the two folded blankets I had just set down. It's Friday night. Jeff, Morgan, Adam and Adam, and Kid decided to all go to this bar night thing. Mitch, Sarah, Jackson and Sam all went to dinner and invited us two along, but Eden said she'd rather not "spoil the fun" for the adult drinkers... They all insisted, but she said she would be fine home... I told them I'd stay back with her so that we could do something, and that's when she suggested a mini road trip.
"How do you know this place?" I ask her, both of us grabbing up the supplies, Eden closing the door behind me. "I just looked it up, actually." She laughs under her breath, unlocking the car with her free hand. "You have your license?" I tease her and she rolls her eyes, popping the trunk and setting the basket filled with sandwiches, snacks and drinks.
"Yes, old man." She teases back, taking the blankets and hoodies from me, stacking them beside the other various things. I shake my head, the grin on my face unbreakable. It's just barely six, the sky still vivid blue. She told me earlier that the spot is close to an hour drive, Jeff lent her his cadillac.
The last few days really have been so nice. Aaron left three days ago, and I don't want to make assumptions, but Eden has seemed so much more relaxed in these last few days, than the last several weeks I've gotten to know her. Maybe it's because she only just spoke to Aaron earlier for the first time since he left.
I slip myself into the passenger seat, Eden making her way to the drivers side, closing the door and starting the car. "Dj?" She asks me, handing the cable off to me before buckling up. I nod, taking the cable from her and shuffling through my music as we take off, settling on Howlin' For You by The Black Keys, Eden smiling at my song choice.
We got to the gas station within ten minutes, Eden filling up and sending me inside to grab a bag of cherry flavored candy before taking back off towards the destination.
"Hm... When's your birthday?" I ask her, the both of us listing off questions for each other, the soft hum of Supermassive Black Hole by Muse. "January tenth... When's yours?" She asks me, pulling her sunglasses over her face, the hair they had pushed back set free. "February first... That would make you a capricorn?" I ask, remembering that her and Megan had some conversation about horoscopes over the phone. "It would, and you're an aquarius." She smiles, glancing at me as she takes the bends of the Malibu backroads. I nod, popping one of the candies into my mouth.
"I hate the misconception that aquarius' are cold people... It's just not true." She shakes her head and I nod, not knowing shit about the star signs or characteristics, but willingly agreeing with her. "Right... We're patient people." I shrug, smirking to myself as I look back towards the street, lulling my head against the headrest of the carseat.
"Your turn." I point at her, waiting for a question. She thinks for a second, stopping at a stop sign, checking both ways and then pulling out. "Your first girlfriend... What was she like?" She asks me, the sky starting to rose into a shade of orangish-red. I smile at the thought, looking down at my hands.
