Anything for My Princess

Chapter 1.

3 months ago I received the most important phone call of my life. It was Brent Rivera. He asked me if I wanted to come to Huntington Beach to film a segment of his video. Holy shit. Brent Rivera asked me to be in his video. Well, it's understandable, my best friend Jeremy must have told him about me. I'll thank him later. 

As soon as I hung up the phone, I packed my bags and went straight to the airport. I wanted to be at Huntington as soon as possible. I bought the plane ticket, went through security, searched for the gate, and finally, I went into the airplane. A soon as I  buckled my seatbelt, I popped my Earpods in and played some music. I must have fallen asleep cause I woke up to the captain's voice, letting us passengers know that we are officially in Los Angeles, California. I always dreamed of being here, so I played the song that was perfect for the occasion: Party in The U.S.A. by Miley Cyrus.  

We landed in LAX and after doing the security check again, grabbing my luggage, and buying some food, I went outside the airport and breathed for the first time the crispy hot air of Los Angeles. I understood I would be going to surprise Jeremy so I couldn't call him to pick me up. I had to Uber. 

Jeremy always complains about how expensive Ubering is. But it was going to be worth it. I ordered the Uber and asked the driver to drive down to Huntington. He looked at me as if I was crazy, which I was, but being here is all worth it. 

After a 2 hour ride, we finally got there. Brent had sent me the location before so I was standing in front of The Amp House. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Brent opened it quickly, I was about to greet and hug him, but he put his hand in front of his mouth, signaling that I have to keep quiet. I gave a thumbs-up, and he signaled me to come inside. We went inside a room, and he said: 

-"It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Katie...?"

- "Jackson", I answered. "Katie Jackson". 

- "Well Katie Jackson, you might be wondering why I have you here", he said taking out his camera, filming. "So Jeremy has been going on and on on how much he misses you, so I thought it will be a great idea to bring you here and surprise him." 

I was so nervous at the moment. Jeremy had no idea that I was there. Which meant I have no reason to be thankful to him. Except I had to be thankful to Brent, who is the one who invited me over, all on his own. 

I looked at the camera and said: "I'm so nervous right now, but also so excited! I have not been able to visit Jeremy here in over 2 years! I missed him so much". 

-"Well let's bring Jeremy in". Brent said. "Jeremy! Come here!" Brent went out of the room and I could hear him say to put a blindfold on. I fixed my hair, took yet another deep breath, and stood there. 

Brent continued, "So Jeremy, I have a little surprise for you." They walked into the room, and I saw him. Little Jeremy wasn't so little anymore. He looked so tall and muscular. I smiled at him, then at Brent, and finally to the camera. "You have been saying how much you miss this person, and how you wanted to go see her." Jeremy bit his lower lip. "So go ahead and take off your blindfold". Jeremy took it off and looked at the camera, confused. He turned to the side and saw me. 

-"Katie!!" He exclaimed. He hugged me so tight, he didn't let go, as if he was afraid I would vanish from his arms if he did. When he let go, I got teary-eyed and hugged him again. I was so happy I was finally able to see him. When I pulled apart, he was crying too, which made us laugh. I turned my head and Brent was trying so hard not to cry too. He always surprises his friends with stuff like this, but I don't know, maybe this time is more special. I know my time in California will be awesome.
