The new girl

Chapter one: new girl at Hogwarts

"We have a new student today, she is joining us here in the great hall to be sorted in her house, please be nice and make her welcome" Professor McGonagall says to everyone in the great hall. Everyone whispered to themselves as they awaited the arrival of this girl, wondering what she would be like. Suddenly the doors opened Professor McGonagall leading the way and a tall dark haired girl comes walking through everyone stared in awe at her, and whispered among themselves.   

Angel's POV

Professor McGonagall came out to the hall "we are going in for your house choosing now" she said, I nodded and followed her into the great hall, where five tables sat, four of the five were house tables, in the far corner, Slytherin, then Gryffindor, Hufflepuff and ravenclaw. The fifth table was at the front of the hall, and a bunch of teachers sat there, in front of the table, was a hat and a chair, this is where I would be sorted into my house. I thought about the scenery when I arrived here and how pretty it was, Hogwarts castle is a large seven-story high building, clearly supported by magic with a hundred and forty two staircases throughout the castle. "As most of you know Hogwarts has been open since, early middle ages (c. 993) by a wizard architect, our school is the finest wizarding school in the world. Our four houses were founded by Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Angel Kate please come sit" Professor McGonagall says, i sit down and she places the hat on my head, it thinks and finally speaks "very brave, cunning, smart and loyal, you could do great in any of the houses, as such GRYFFINDOR" I stand up and the Gryffindor's all clap, as I sit with them. 

I was seated next to two girls, "I'm Hermione, this is Ginny, and this is Harry, Ron, Neville" a brown haired girl spoke she sounded really smart, "I'm Angel" I said, "hey, we are Fred and George" two identical boys introduced themselves. After sitting there, eating dinner we went back to the common room. We all just chatted about my old life, how I ended up here, and if I was excited for my first class, which was Potions with Snape.
