STORY: FORGIVEN
MAIN CHARACTERS: SOLFIE AND KAI
“I’m sorry Solfie, I can’t do this anymore.” Kai took a few steps forward about touch my left cheek when I step back and answered.
“Kai what are you saying?” I stared at him clueless. Just wondered “Did he eat the chocolate pie I made again,” and crossed my arms waiting for a response.
“I mean I can’t do us, this relationship is going nowhere I have no feelings for you Solfie,” Kai sighed.
I stood there and thought “What!” Without knowing how to react to this I just decided to ignore as a joke and chuckled.
“You’re kidding me stop joking Kai,” I playfully pinched his cheeks while he watched me puzzled and protested.
“I cheated you Solfie, I’m sorry this isn’t a joke.” Kai made himself clear enough for me not scream and cry my lungs out at him as I gulped trying to hold up my tears walking into the kitchen as he follows and said.
“Solfie don’t be angry with me, I don’t know what’s going on with heart I’m just confused about us, I don’t know where our relationship is going. Maybe it’s better,” Kai paused when he saw tears flowing down my face emotionlessly I stayed calm and finished his sentence.
“We see another people right.” I giggled, therefore him seems a bit nervous and exclaimed, “Solfie, that’s not what I meant, I mean I don’t even know.”
“Kai,” I sighed not sure what to think nor say but glance at him from a turn of my heel and added “Do what you want; I’ll be fine and so will you.”
“Solfie,” Kai began but I stopped him and said “Kai, don’t.”
“Goodbye Solfie, I’ll still,” Before he could continue his words I walked out his apartment holding onto my coat running down the flight of stairs exiting the entrance to feel the pour droplets of rains on my warm skin, just made me shivered in the mist of my emotions as thoughts began piling my head.
“Should I go back for shelter?”
“No, just keep running until you reach home.”
ONE YEAR LATER:
“This feels familiar,” I thought. While running in rain trying to get home. Since Kai and I broke up last year I moved to Busan for a better life to start over again. My daily job can be a pain in butt but it helps me pay off my apartment which is good. Then I remembered.
“I forget to buy the noodles at Mara Store, I can’t eat fry chicken”, I mumbled. Suddenly I accidently bumped into someone scattering all his pictures on the ground, so I decided to pick it and apologized.
“I’m so sorry; I didn’t look where I was running too.” I said sincerely. Still looking at the photos that I pick up, to notice it had different places taken from Seoul city.
“It’s okay, I should be the one apologizing now for last year,” a recognizable male voice replied.
When I lift up my face to see Kai, in front of me being soak by the rain dress in a grey suit and beanie with vans, “He was always this stylish back in high school.” I thought feeling a smile was about pop up on my lips as I avoid it with a harsh response.
“No you don’t Kai cause you the one who choose this path,” I reminded him handing over his pictures.
“Solfie, back then I was stupid,” He paused as I glared and muttered “Of course you were, you broke my heart, my happiest Kai, and you think I’m going to come in your life again for what you did to me.”
