A/N Nancy sees Percy again fanfic. HoO never happened. One-shot
Disclaimer: I don't own PJO
Nancy Bobofit was pleased with herself.
That school year, Nancy was finally going to a normal high school and in San Francisco no less. Usually Nancy went to prestigious all girls school or just regular boarding schools (and they were typically in New York as she had used to live there). This was one of the first times since she was in 3rd grade that she hadn't been in a boarding school of any kind.
Nancy had always considered herself hot. She dressed in high fashion clothes without looking slutty like some of the other girls she knew. She had had a total of 6 boyfriends from that time she was 13 to now at the age of 16. If—no, when—she got a boyfriend, she would be on number 7. She had straightened then curled her frizzy red hair and put on a blush pink tank top with bleach washed ripped jeans. She also put on white Air Force Ones to complete the look. Nancy thought she looked good.
She grabbed her backpack and ran out the door, ready to be the queen of her new high school.

Nancy had barely walked to her locker when Annabeth Chase had walked in. Immediately everyone stilled.
Annabeth walked with a sense of confidence and power that nobody had ever felt. She had honey-blond hair that pulled into a ponytail and was so natural and effortlessly curled, she made every girl (at least those that cared about their appearance) want to change their hair. Unfortunately, she also seemed to have two random grey streaks at the front of her hair yet even that didn't seem to distract you from her beauty. She was dressed casually. Just a simple white shirt that was tucked into high waisted, blue denim jeans with a brown belt around her waist—they didn't seem to have any connection to the rest of her clothes (in the sense that they weren't even looped through her belt loops in her jeans) but was still cute—with some grey high top Converse. She had a typical California look and she also looked extremely athletic. Though, her grey eyes ruined—or complemented—her look. They seemed like they were calculating anything and everything. They looked sharp and piercing.
She seemed to have noticed that nobody was moving but didn't comment and continued to walk to her locker—which happened to be a few lockers down and across from Nancy's—like nothing had happened. This caused everyone else to continue what they were doing before, albeit a little slower than normal but nonetheless.
Nancy knew immediately that Annabeth would either be your best friend or your worst enemy and she decided she would rather be neither.

It had been four months since school started in September. It was currently the second week since Christmas break had ended and Nancy was getting more and more confused as the school year went on.
The main reason was because of Annabeth. She had become something of an enigma to Nancy. For one thing, she not only looked super athletic but was super athletic. She beat all the fastest kids in track, was always the last person standing in a dodgeball match, climbed rope more easily than everybody else, was amazing at volleyball, soccer, and basketball, yet wasn't on any of the teams. She was also extremely intelligent. So intelligent, she had most of her classes with the seniors despite only being a junior and the fact that she had dyslexia (along with ADHD). And most of her classes were AP/Honors classes.
Nancy had rolled her eyes the first time she heard that Annabeth was dyslexic. With the way she was going, it was not possible that Annabeth was dyslexic but it proved true in English class which Annabeth seemed to have trouble with.
