When I first saw you, I doubt you would have noticed me even if you stared right into my eyes. I had only watched you from afar, admiring all your enthusiasm and determination. Things are different now, but how did we get here? How was did I get to befriend such a magnificent person like you?

It would be an understatement to say I admired you. No, I loved you. From the moment you had walked into my life I knew that you were all I wanted, everything I had dreamed of cramped into one person. Although, I regret nothing. It had started when we ended up in the same class in U.A High. I thought I would be the most dedicated student to becoming a hero, but you. You were much more dedicated than I, comparison of us two cannot even be made.
We didn't officially talk until about a week after class had started. A lot had happened but it was okay! We met on the way to the cafeteria. I remember the soft texture of your shirt as we accidentally bumped into each other, causing me to fall to my knees. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! Here, let me help you." Kirishima offered a hand.
"O-Oh... Thank you." I replied, graciously accepting his help. I stood and dusted invisible dirt off of my clothes as Kirishima looked at me and smiled.
"Are you okay? Any scratches?" He looked around at me quizzically.
"Not one! Thankfully I bumped into you and not Kacchan or I would have been in the nurse's office by now.." I nervously chuckled, thinking of the situation that would have unfolded if that were the case. Kirishima smiled at me. I widened my eyes as my heart beat faster.
"Katsuki isn't that mean! He'd let you off after an hour or so of yelling." I chuckled a bit. Bakugo does have a bad temper! Although it seems to have gotten a bit better. "Anyways, are you headed to the cafeteria too? We can go together if you'd like!" I grinned and nodded my head quickly and we started walking.

We spent the whole lunch just the two of us, chatting and laughing. I never knew we had so much in common, yet had never conversed. We kept hanging out for days after that. Not even others' snooty remarks could ruin our connection.

"Hey Y/N, whatcha' writing about?"
You turned quickly from your desk, covering the notebook with your hands.
"Nothing!" You smiled awkwardly in reply. Kirishima nodded as he closed your room door then strolling over to you.
"What are you doing in here, anyway? You didn't even knock!" You stared at him in annoyance. He just smiled as he stopped in front of you, leaning down so he was at your eye-level.
"I came here to see you, of course." He lifted a hand to pat your head. The gentle touch made you feel tingly. Meanwhile the other crept toward your notebook and snatched it! Kirishima stood straight up, reading it as you quickly jumped up.
"Kiri, why do you do this to me?" You whined as you attempted to snatch the notebook from his moving hands.
"You must really love me to write about the day we met. Although..." He paused as you stopped jumping about. "I still will always love you more." He set down the notebook and took your hands in his, bumping his forehead against yours.
"No no Mister, I love you more!" You smiled mischievously as you knew this would start a bickering war between you both. Though this time it was different. Kirishima looked into your E/C eyes, as if he was admiring all you are as a person, looking past your flaws and seeing the real you. He had always looked at you as if he was doing that, it had become comforting in many ways.
"I never want to forget that day we met. Even when I'm old, I want us to remember. Can we do that..?" You looked at him hopefully.
"I can try. No promises, you never know when you're old!" He laughed to himself as you stared at him, not understanding what exactly was so funny but enjoying your moments with him. At least until the loudspeaker told everyone to bed.
