Shadow P.O.V
I returned to my master.
"It's done", I said with a lack of emotion.
"Very good", he said, "Now get to sleep".
I went to my room and flopped on my bed. I began to think about what happened all those years ago.
Flashback.
I was on patrol duty when I heard a scream. I rushed to the top of the hill. I looked over and saw a boy, around my age, running from 2 hellhounds. I easily killed them and brought him inside camp. I brought him to the big house and went on with my guard duty.
The next day in the pavilion he was claimed......by my father. I was so happy at first, I've always wanted a sibling. I showed him around the camp. Everytime he looked at me, I didn't notice then, but now that I look back on it, his eyes were full of hate. I took him to the armory to get him a weapon then showed him to our cabin.
After about a week I began to notice people watching me suspiciously. Soon hardly anyone would talk to me. Then no one would talk to me except my close friends. Everyone seemed to love Mark, my brother. He seemed to make fun of me everyday. Then he decided to take my friends.
It started with Grover. Mark burned Juniper's tree and framed me. Then he took them one by one until I only had Annabeth left. I was loosing everything so I went to Athena to get approval to marry Annabeth.
She sent me on a quest that took 3 months. When I got back I went to find Annabeth. I started at her cabin, I got the door slammed in my face. I asked around but only got glares. I decided to check the beach. When I got there, my heart shattered. Annabeth was kissing Mark.
"When are you going to break up with my loser bother?", Mark said.
"When he gets back from whatever he's doing", Annabeth said and kissed him.
"Don't bother, we're done", I said stepping out. I walked to Mark and punched him in the face. Annabeth sat frozen in shock.
"HOW DARE YOU HIT MY FAVORITE SON", Poseidon said after flashing in, "PERCY JACKSON I HEREBY DISOWN YOU AS MY SON".
That did it, that broke me. I ran to the pavilion. I took out the ring and tossed it into the fire.
"To Athena", I said. Then I walked to my cabin and packed some clothes, food, and Ambrosia. I walked up to the hill, ignoring the campers. I looked back with tears streaming down my face. Then I left.
Flashback End.
I closed my eyes and the darkness consumed me.
