Jisoo had a terrible memory.
When she was young, she could forget what she was doing minutes before or where she put down the thing she was holding seconds ago.
Both short term and long term memory storage were deficient. The doctors said some parts of her brain were under developed.
This was most problematic when she got into school and she had to recall homework and when she met people she couldn’t remember the next day.
She used to have tiny paper notes to remember but she lost them as often as she found them useful. Then she discovered the wonders of the ball point pen.
By the time she’s reached high school, she’s devised a system for remembering. All the urgent things for work must be written on the inner left arm, urgent personal things on back of the left hand and important dates on the back of the right.
It was messy and her parents didn’t like her scribbling things on her arms but it was the only effective way for her to remember. Therefore, she wore long sleeves all the time and always had a pen in her pocket.
When she met Rosie, she immediately noted the date on her right hand. As days passed, things about Rosie filled her left hand too.

Date with Rosie / Bring flowers
“You said you liked flowers.” Jisoo uttered quickly as Rosie opened the door, brandishing the flowers to her face, making the girl step back in surprise.
“Usually people say hi, first,” Rosie said, but she accepted the flowers with a smile.
“Oh yeah.. Hi..” Jisoo quietly stood, as Rosie admired the flowers. “I don’t really know what to do, I don’t do this often.”
But Rosie kissed her on the cheek. “It’s cute... Sort of endearing.”
“I can work with that.”

Get an umbrella
“Hey Rosie.”
“Jisoo? Why are you calling?”
“It’s raining.”
“.…”
“And you hate it if I go home wet from the rain.”
“You still haven’t gotten an umbrella?”
“Yes.”
“Soo…”
“I’m sorry.”
“…. I’ll go.”
“Huh?”
“I’ll go there and get you.”
“Thanks Rosie.”
“Love you too, you forgetful person.”

05/21
Rosie was sitting beside Jisoo as they were waiting for the train to arrive when she noticed another date on Jisoo’s right hand.
“What’s this?” She lifted the hand and examined it closely. It was there along with her parent’s birthdays, anniversary and Rosie’s birthday.
Jisoo looked at the date and slowly goes through her memory. The train arrived and she stood up, tugging along Rosie with her.
“Well, did you remember what it is?” Rosie asked impatiently, since there used to be only four dates on the right hand that it piqued her curiosity.
