???: They always reminded me of death. Everyone who sees them are too distracted by their beauty to realize that each petal is just another dead leaf that will wither away.

Uptop the roof of Fujimi Academy there layed a boy with pale grey hair which reached down to his ears. Fair skin and blank, white eyes. He wore a loose dress shirt with a red and black striped tie, and black pants.

Ryu Mochizuki, 2nd year high-school student.

He gazed toward the sky with extreme indifference. His face blank and his body unmoving. If not for the very shallow rise and fall of his chest it'd be easy to mistake him for a sculpture or a corpse.

The boys eyes which stared listlessly at the sky above finally twitched when a small flock of birds past by his vision.

Ryu: "I wonder how birds feel when they fly? Despite being able to travel as far as they want in the sky, they are inevitably bound to it. The moment they try to live on the earth they'll just be hunted down by more adept predators. In that sense, birds are prisoners to their own freedom..." He whispered to himself.
