• Ailani's POV •

I walked into Elijah's office as he told me to. Not gonna lie, I was a little scared for what was gonna happen. The tone he had spoken to me in scared me a little.

"Hurry up damnit! Why do you walk so slow..?" He grumbles which made me speed up.

"The fuck is his problem..?" I say under my breath.

"What was that?" He growls.

"Nothing.." I say and roll my eyes when he looks away from me.

"Thought so." He stated still in an angry tone.

"So why do you need me to go to your office anyway?" I ask him.

"Don't worry about it you'll find out when we get there now shut the hell up and walk faster." He yelled.

I scoff and pick up my pace again.

We enter his office and he sits in his chair behind the desk. I sit in the chair in front of the desk and play with my fingers anxiously.

"Listen, our mafia is losing men and we need more people. Normally we wouldn't allow a woman in our team but to be honest, it's our only option at this point." He says. "Since all of the men we've tried are pussies.." he mutters.

I laugh. "You're basically asking me to join your mafia?" I roll my eyes.

"Yes, unfortunately it has come to that." He says sounding a little embarrassed or disappointed.

"Hold on, so why were you being so dramatic on the way over here and talking in that really deep aggressive voice?" I questioned.

"No reason." He replies. "Now answer the question, are you going to join or not?" He asks me again.

"Hmm.. I guess so." I mutter.

"Okay, we'll you're going to have to sign a contract." He says grabbing a paper from behind him in a filing cabinet.

He places the paper in front of me.

"This contract basically says that you are committed to our mafia and are willing to participate in our missions for the next two years and possibly more, if you're unsure about what you're signing then you can read over it to make sure you are aware of what you are signing up for." He explains to me.

I sign the contract with no hesitation, I mean it's not like I wanna go back home and attend college everyday. That shit is boring as hell.

"And also the room you were put in when you first got here is now your own room." He says.

I nod and I finish signing off the contract and giving it back to him. I get up out of the chair. "Is that all you needed Eli?" I ask.

"Yeah, just shut the door on your way out." He exclaims. I nod and shut the door when I walk out and back to my room.

"Sooo what happened, did someone get a little freaky in the office?" Jayde says smirking

"Girl stop, he basically just asked me if I wanted to join his mafia and I signed a contract." I state.

"Oh, I was hoping for some juicy details." Jayde says causing me to laugh a bit.
