A Thousand Years

Being the only human Cullen . I've gone though a lot of circumstance. Edward is kinda related to me. His father is my great grandfather's father. Too confusing . Huh? Well, when my parents died, Edward found me in thr forest, walking alone, lost and terrified. I have no family and i wad so young that time. I'm just a 5 year-old girl and i'm still naive. Edward made an appearance as asked a lot about me. He looked at me like as if i'm something to eat. "My name is Cara Masen" I told him. His eyes widened on the sudden news. He looked at me like as if i was a long lost relative. "Y-you're a Masen?!" He stuttered and i saw his eyes flickered from light brown to bright yellow. That was creepy but i felt so lost looking at his eyes. I feel like someone is telling me i shouldn't be scared of him of him for he won't hurt me. "Yes" i said. Barely audible for humans to hear. He continued to ask every detail about me and my family. Dude, i'm just a 5 year-old. I thought to myself. "Where are your parents? Why are yo here?" He continued to ask. I took a step back looking down. He knelt down on me and grabbed my gently. "Tell me what happened little girl." He said comforting me "M-my mom and d-dad . They were killed by unknown creature! They bit their necks and sucked their blood I ran away and that is how i got here. I'm scared! Please help me Mr. Yellow eyes!!" I said in mu childish tone, tears are now forming my eyes. He gave me a weak smile and looked at my pity and pulled me into a soothing hug. His body felt so cold like ice. "Don't worry, you're not alone now. You're the only Masen that is left for me." He whispered and sighed. That time, i didn't really understand what he meant by saying i'm the only Masen that is left for him but that was until he brought me to his house.

"Edward! You know this against our laws" a blonde girl said "She id still a kid! And she is the only one left on our family. I'm gonna make her like one of us on her right age!" Edward explained, his grip tightened while carrying me "like one of us"? What does he mean by that? A blonde man who looks like he is in his mid-20's walked toward me and Edward "She can stay." He said " But what abou.." The blonde was cut off . "Hi Cara! I'm Carlisle ,your new dad. This is Esme, your new mom. And this is Alice, Jasper, Emmet, Rosalie, and Edward. They're your new sibling !" Carlisle said pointing on each of them. I half smiled and looked at Edward who was carrying me "Welcome to the Cullen family !" Edward said smiling
