White puffs of smoke surround me. I take in the scent, letting my eyes close.. I open my eyes again and look around. It was foggy. I could barely see out the window in front of me. I turn and look at Tristan, he was already staring at me. A wide smile plastered on his face.

"How are you feeling?" He mumbled lowly, putting his hand on my knee. I just smiled and let out a lazy laugh.

"Good." I nod.

I turn to change the way I was sitting but stopped abruptly. I was caught off guard by the blinding bright head lights.. I couldn't move. Tristan rubbed my leg and started to laugh as the red truck pulled up beside us. Obviously he knew this guy. I relaxed. I look over at the unfamiliar red truck. The tinted window slowly rolled down, revealing who it was.

His hair pushed back, covered with a black baseball hat; on backwards. A cigarette hanging from his plump pink lips. He took off his sunglasses, showing his shinning brown eyes. Man, his smile. His teeth were white and straight, his grin made the corners of his eyes crinkle. He turned off the loud engine of his truck and pulled out a beer from a bag beside him.

"So, what are we doing man?" Tristan asked looking at his friend amused at what he saw.

He smirked. And God.

His smirk was more heart melting than his smile.

"Booze cruise?" he tossed Tristan a beer. He nodded and cracked it open.

I stayed quiet, staring at him. Looking at each of his features, completely zoning out. Tristan nudged me and offered me a beer. I snapped out of it and looked up at him.

"No thanks, I don't drink.." I smile a bit.

I didn't like to drink. I cant control my alcohol. I don't like the feeling of being drunk. I would much rather just smoke weed.

Tristan nodded and took a couple gulps.

"Who's the pretty lady?" he raised his voice, smirking. My heart jumped, I looked away. He had a charming deep voice.

"Someone who's too good for you!" Tristan laughed.

"Fuck off." He groaned and laughed, takin a swig of his beer. I couldn't help but laugh. Although it was nice to hear Tristan say that.

His friend, has quite the reputation. Everybody knew who he was. He was a heart breaker. He would use girls for what he wanted, then drop them. Simple as that.

Fuck & Chuck.

He was Jared Brewer.

I focused back on the two guys. Jared laughed deeply and looked at me.

"Cmon sweetheart, what's your name?"

I bit the inside of my cheek. I glanced at Tristan before looking over to Jared

"Kelsey..." I said just loud enough for him to hear me.

Jared's smirk grew larger. I looked back in my lap. I listened to the music, getting lost in my thoughts again.

The door beside me opened, causing me to flinch. Jared stood there and tossed his, now empty, beer can across the road. He got in the truck, I scooted over a little closer to Tristan.

Jared smirked and closed the door once he sat down. He pulled out a tiny ziplock bag, white powder piling in the corner of it. He flicked it twice and looked at Tristan.

"Do you mind?" He mumbled.

Tristan shrugged shaking his head. Jared nodded and grabbed a CD case. He poured out the small amount of powder and set it into a thin line. Now I knew for sure that it was cocaine.

Drugs scare me. Yes I do smoke weed, but anything else makes me uncomfortable. I watch him closely as he started to snort it. I cringe and leaned more into Tristan. Jared looked up and shook his head taking in another sniff to clear his nose. I glance up at him and chew my bottom lip between my teeth, roughly.

Jared smiled down at me and looked at Tristan.

"Let's go for a drive man."

He grinned. Tristan shrugged and nodded.

I stay quiet and fiddled with my fingers. Jared turned down the music and put his arm around my shoulders. My muscles tensed up, but relaxed soon enough.

"So, what were you two doing while I was getting booze?" he smiled smugly.

Tristan laughed a bit and looked over at him and shrugged.

"Nothing man. Just smoked a bit.. Apparently I'm 'friend- zoned.'" He rolled his eyes in a joking way.

I huffed and smacked his arm.

"If you were single, then maybe you wouldn't be!" I laughed lightly.

Tristan just laughed and shook his head.

I could feel Jared's eyes burning on my body.

"Well I'm not friend zoned.." he mumbled.

I glanced up at him, what does that suppose to mean?

As I look at him, he's leading down and forward. I quickly turned my face away and looked down.

"Oh okay." He laughed and shook his head. I laugh it off uncomfortably.

Jared tried to kiss me.

I felt frozen in my seat. I couldn't move a muscle. I kept my eyes focused on my purse in my lap.

"Hey, you okay?" Tristan muttered, bonking his knee on mine.

I flinched slightly but perked up.

"What? Yeah, I'm good." My smile was small.

I know it sounds silly, but I felt in shock that he tried to put his lips on mine. It's Jared. I know I shouldn't get involved with him. It will only end up hurting me.
