Kayama lay fast asleep in her apartment, finally getting some rest after such a big day. Even though she had no memory, she still felt like U.A. Academy was her home. Everyone there was so welcoming and willing to help her out, despite her predicament. Also, she had found a special tool that could hold the secret to her past, an old diary from high school. She was excited to learn how to harness her quirk and learn more about her life, but first, she needed some shut eye.

A few hours later, Midnight was awoken by her alarm clock again, and was more than ready to start the day. As she got out of bed, she received a text from Aizawa again "I'm picking you up this time. Be sure to bring your hero outfit to change into once we get there". "Oh right, that thing." Nemuri said, remembering her temporary embarrassment over her hero outfit.

As she grabbed a duffel bag to store her suit inside of, she decided to grab her diary and read it for a bit.

April 21

Today, we are practicing our quirks. While this is a pretty big day, and can carry some anxieties, I remember to relax as it affects my performance, in more ways than one. Over the years I've learned that the more relaxed I am, the more range and effect my quirk has.

Before she could read anything else, she heard a car roll up. "Good morning Ms. Midnight. You look wonderful today." Mr. Aizawa said as he rolled down the window. "Thanks Aizawa!" she said as she hopped right in. As they drove off, Aizawa gave her the rundown, "Alright, our plan today is to bring you into the gym so that you can practice utilizing your quirk. We have another member of our school faculty who will be there with you and I. You watched those videos right?"

"Sure did, I am so impressed that such an unusual quirk can have such a stimulating effect" Midnight said, letting some of that old self show. She was already hyped up from watching the videos and could not wait to see herself in action again.

As they entered the school, they were greeted with a familiar face "Hello Mrs. Midnight!" said Principal Nezu "Nice to see you here again". "Great to see you again too!" said Midnight. Principal Nezu pointed to his right, "The gym is down the hall, behind those double doors on the right. Ms. Thirteen is waiting for you there!"

"Thanks Mr. Nezu. Have a nice day!" Midnight responded perkily. She pet Nezu's head for a second before she walked off. Little did Midnight know, she used to do this to Nezu all the time just to tease him. It annoyed him a bit, but he had also really missed it.

Kayama and Aizawa entered the school gym, where they were greeted by a person in some sort of space suit. "Greetings Kayama", the space lady said as she waved to her, "My name is Thirteen!". Aizawa turned to Kayama, "We picked her to help out since your gas can't directly impact her due to the space helmet". "That makes sense" Midnight responded, though she had kind of picked that up herself.

"Do you know how to activate your quirk?" Aizawa asked. Midnight remembered and nodded in response. Aizawa simply stepped back and said, "Alright, you have the floor." as he covered his mouth and nose with his scarf. Kayama stopped up to the center of the gym floor.

"Okay" Midnight muttered to herself, "Just relax." as she tried to concentrate. She tried to do just that, but to no avail. She had her eyes shut tight, expecting results, only to be disappointed upon opening them. She tried again a couple more times, but with the same result.

"What's holding you back?" asked Aizawa. Midnight turned to him, "I have no idea. I'm trying to relax." Despite teaching a classroom full of young teens, Eraserhead wasn't good at explaining how to relax. Thirteen spoke up, "It's ok Midnight, you're not under any pressure right now. What I do sometimes is to just imagine myself on a beach. Listen to the peaceful waves rolling and feel the nice summer breeze." Midnight listened to her advice and after a few deep breaths, she announced, "Ok, I'm ready to try again."
