Potions, Harry had to take potions now. Great. He could've had a free period but he had to be making fun of first years with his best friend.

Professor slughorn was haply to have them and told them to get a book. Ron took the best one, Harry got an old one. One that belonged to a so called half-blood prince, must've been a prick.

What smells so good? The professor had opened a couldron filling the entire room with a really pleasant smell.

Hermione explained it was a love potion, it smelled like the person you loved. It smells really nice, who does this scent belong to?

His train of thought was interrupted when the professor announced what potion they were going to make and the first one to successfully complete it was going to get a vial of felix felices.

Harry quickly got to work noticing that on his book were notes written in and they seemed to be working just fine for Harry. This caught not only the attention from Hermione but from a tall handsome slytherin.

"since when did Potter get so good with potions?" he asked to his friends.

Pansy shrugged, "already checking him out?"

Blaise scoffed, "don't be stupid, I'm trying to get an opportunity to get him alone for our plan to work."

"just completely fail then." Draco suggested. "if he's getting good and you don't even finish the professor will get Potter to help you."

Blaise shook his head, "but the professor would stay in the room. I think I might have to asked him to tutor me and see what I can do from there. I'm not putting my grades on the line."

Of course Harry succeeded at the potion. Blaise groaned internally trying to finish his successfully, did he actually need tutoring? Him and Draco were supposed to be the best ones here, when did Potter get so good?

After he finished he went to look for Harry. This was for a matter of pride and the stupid plan. He found him sitting on a windows waiting for his friends and reading the potions book. "since when are you good at potions?" Blaise asked sounding agitated.

Harry quickly closed the book startled. He looked up at him and glared, "why do you care?"

This was going to hurt his ego. Blaise took a deep breath, "I want you to tutor me."

Harry looked surprised, "I'm not really good..."

Blaise raised an eyebrow leaning down, "you were the first one to finish weren't you? And if I remember correctly the teacher even congratulated you on how good you were. So if you're really not that good then you must have cheated."

Harry didn't want to tutor him but he didn't want him running to the teacher to say thst he cheated. "alright, I'll tutor you."

Blaise gave him a charming smile, "thank you. Figure out when you're free and tell me." Harry nodded.

"Harry?" Hermione called out.

Blaise's smile dropped, "until then Potter." he straightened himself up and look over at Hermione, "Granger." He looked back at Harry and winked walking off.

Hermione looked at Harry concerned, "what was that?"

Harry shook his head, "nothing important."

Hermione slowly nodded, "alright, then would you care to explain why you were so good at potions today?"

Harry shrugged, "guess I actually did understand Snape, who would've thought? Where's Ron?"

"restroom." she looked at him for a moment longer, "are you sure everything's fine with Zabini?"

Harry nodded, "why wouldn't it be?"

"well yesterday you were late and now you're getting closer to a slytherin of all people."

Harry shook his head, "he asked me to tutor him and I do owe him one. Besides it might help with figuring out what is happening with Malfoy."

"be careful with him Harry, he's a slytherin and might want to get you in trouble."

Harry gave her a soft smile, "it's fine Mione."

________

Blaise had received a little note from Harry telling him to meet him in the library that afternoon. Draco looked a little too excited for him.

He walked to the library and found Harry waiting for him reading his potion book and writing down notes on something else. "what's that?" Blaise asked startling Harry. "sorry."

Harry closed his book, "it's a muggle notebook and pen."

Blaise gave him a confused look, "how does that pick up any ink at all? It doesn't seem too practical."

Harry patted the chair next to him. Blaise sat down and Harry gave him the pen. "it already has ink inside. Try writing with it."

Blaise looked at him then at the pen and grabbed the notebook. He thought Harry was just joking with him but the muggle pen deposited the ink on the paper. He just stared at the paper amazed, how did no one think of this in the wizard world. He heard the other male giggle at his amazement, "you can keep that if you want."

Blaise blushed, "thank you, maybe you could also help me with muggle studies."

Harry perked up, "I'm much better at muggle studies. You already are very good at potions, no need for tutoring."

Blaise raised an eyebrow, "did the Harry Potter just compliment me? Draco is never going to believe me." Harry laughed, Blaise couldn't deny he was sort of cute when he laughed but definitely not his type. He cleared his throat, "Shall we start?"

Harry showed him some notes he had written out for him. "look I get most of this but why would you crush it instead of cutting?"

"well..." Harry quickly thought of an excuse, "it's like a lemon. You get most juice if you squeeze it instead of cutting little parts." Blaise looked at him yet again with a confused expression. "You've never squeezed a lemon or an orange or a lime?"

"why would I? The elves do that." Blaise said defensively.

Harry glared at him, "didn't know slytherins were so stupid they couldn't even cook themselves."

This hurt Blaise's ego, he huffed feeling anger boil inside of him. "I didn't even think you knew what food was before Hogwarts. You're always so skinny, do you even know how to cook yourself Potter? If you do then you're doing a terrible job at it, you're the smallest seventh year I've seen."

Harry felt tears forming in his eyes, "look for another tutor Zabini. I thought for once thst slytherins could be nice but obviously not."

Before Blaise could say anything else Harry was already up and leaving. Blaise stayed seated trying to cool off for moment. He fucked up, why couldn't he just make him laugh again at admitting he was stupid? Still the way Potter reacted was so rude. He groaned, this was going to be more difficult than he thought.

He had to fix this if he wanted his plan to work.

________

Harry didn't talk for the rest of the night, he was very upset. Sure Blaise didn't know about his personal life but still, those words really hurt him. It was his fault if the Dursleys treated him like shit.

Hermione tried to get him to talk when she saw him enter but he walked up to his bed. Ron tried to start a small conversation with him with the hopes of getting answers but he was met with silence. After that Ron snuck out and got him a slice of pie that did make Harry smile a bit.

He just needed his time to not explode on everyone else and to form a plan.
