Greyson's words were caught in his throat. He had most everything planned out, but once the moment arrived, he couldn't think. Everything seemed to become tunneled, and he was all of a sudden terrified to know if she would have him back.

"I uh," he started.

"Yes?" She pressed, her eyes almost seemed hopeful, but for some reason, he couldn't.

"I came to play for Jane-Anne. She asked me too a couple weeks back, remember?" He lied. Greyson felt guilt rack his gut as he spoke the words, Briar's face seemed to fall as she nodded.

"Oh, I see," she whispered and looked away. Why the hell couldn't he tell her? Greyson reached out to touch Briar's cheek, but she started to walk to the barn.

"Come on, can't leave the distressed bride alone and even more disappointed," Briar remarked as she glanced over with a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes. What the hell had he done? Greyson nodded as he followed behind Briar. She looked like something from a dream in that dress. Her hair was half-up, half-down, with flowers in the small braids that were up. Her eyes seemed grey, but the green of the dress brightened them. The moment Greyson's eyes fell on her, he became tongue-tied. She was already beautiful before, but now, she was out of his league. How the hell could he ever ask her back?

They walked inside the barn, the DJ was playing music and what bit of the crowd that stayed were gossiping and dancing. Jane-Anne was laughing as she cut a piece of the cake and talked to Myrick. Briar walked over to a small table where Cordelia and Eli sat.

"What in the heck is going on?" Cordelia whispered.

"Jane-Anne just lost 198 lbs of loser," Briar grinned as she leaned in and kissed Eli on the cheek.

"Good riddance," Cordelia waved her hand and then reached for her glass of tea. She paused and looked over to Greyson.

"Greyson James, you look handsome as ever," Cordelia smiled. Greyson cleared his throat, feeling his face burn as he nodded.

"Thank you, you look lovely yourself, Cordelia," he said. Why did it bother him when these women said something like that? The mic came out and they all turned around to see Jane-Anne on stage.

"I'm sincerely sorry to everyone who witnessed that just now, but this place and everything here is still paid for, so eat, drink, and dance your booties off, because I am!" She cheered as she hopped down. The music changed and everyone slowly started to pour onto the dance floor.

"Nana, let's go dance!" Eli shouted as he jumped up. Cordelia groaned as she stood up grudgingly and followed him out.

"Come on, Casanova. Dance with me?" Briar asked as she grabbed his hand and gently pulled him out to the floor.

"Briar I don't-"

"One dance?" She said with that pouty face he couldn't resist. Greyson sighed. She wiggled as she pulled him out and he smiled. They started to dance to the music, everyone was laughing as Jane moved in between them. For someone heart broken she sure seemed happy. It wasn't long before one dance turned into three, when then music finally slowed. Everyone paired off and Greyson stood there awkwardly for a moment before he finally found the courage and pulled Briar in with a small spin. She giggled and they began to slowly sway to the song. Her head soon rested on his chest as his head rested on top of hers. Greyson found peace when he held her close. He felt as if nothing or no one could ever break him. He could stay like that forever.

"I'm sorry," she finally whispered. It took Greyson by surprise, he lifted his head and looked down. She slightly pulled back and looked up.

"Why?" He asked confused.
