You Are My Life Part One

Nash is exhausted, it's not easy running around chasing 2 toddlers and also make sure that dinner is ready for when his husband comes home and cleaning is done. It takes almost an hour to get the twins dressed and in their car seats to go grocery shopping. People think that being a stay at home dad is easy but it's like a full time job. Alexa Dallas and Anastasia Dallas are going through their terrible twos, they love to say no to their daddy. They love it even more when he gets frustrated and his face turns red. They giggle at the bright color his face turns.

They are currently their high chairs playing with their blocks and watching their daddy cook dinner.

"Dada!" Alexa exclaims and Nash turns to her, she shows him what she built and giggles when he smiles and kisses her forehead gently. Nash turns back to the stove, he's making spaghetti and meatballs with baked potatoes and garlic bread. He bought an apple pie for dessert. Even though he could definitely go for a nap, he wants to make sure dinner is ready for when Cameron comes home.

He knows it's going to be messy with the girls but Cameron texted him earlier and said that's what he wants for dinner. He tries not to let his exhaustion show to Cameron, he doesn't want to disappoint him and he doesn't want Cameron to think he can't handle it.

He rubs his eyes and then starts the coffee machine for a cup of coffee to get him through the evening. He glances at the clock, Cameron should be home any minute. He serves the spaghetti and meatballs into a large bowl and the pulls out the garlic bread and baked potatoes and puts all of it on the table. He takes out the apple pie and then sets the table for dinner.

Just as he's finishing up the door opens and shuts, the twins squeal with excitement because their daddy is finally home.

"Daddy's home!" Nash exclaims and the 3 of the look at the doorway with wide, happy smiles. A few moments later Cameron steps through the doorway and into the kitchen.

"Hi, baby. How was your day?" Nash asks as Cameron pulls him close and wraps his arms around him. They kiss softly and Cameron rubs Nash's side gently.

"Busy but it made the day fly by," Cameron tells him, he works as a resident doctor in the Emergency Department. They had to move across the country been Cameron graduated from medical school because the hospital he got matched with was in Tampa Bay. But it's a beautiful city right by the ocean so Nash fell in love.

Cameron met Nash in university, Cameron was a 3rd year medical student when he bumped into Nash was studying liberal arts because he had no clue what he wanted to do. Nash's family was dirt poor and he was fortunate enough to receive a scholarship so that he could attend college, he'd be the first one in the family to have a degree. But he had no idea what he wanted to do. He was taking general education courses that can be applied to any major.

Cameron was captivated by the blue eyed boy who was a little shy but friendly. He was running late for his lab but he made sure to get his number, it's a huge school, and Cameron didn't want to risk never seeing that beautiful boy again. He actively pursued Nash, he took him out on dates and treated him like a king. When Cameron graduated from medical school and realized his match was all the way in Florida there was no way he was leaving Nash behind. They had only been dating for a year but when Cameron asked him to marry, Nash was ecstatic.

All he had ever known was his parents arguing all the time, they had a dysfunctional marriage and he promised himself that he would never be like that. A year into Cameron's residency Nash told him he wanted children. It was an expensive process. But Cameron knew it would be worth it. Nash donated his semen and when their surrogate got pregnant they were overwhelmed with joy. The twins were born at the hospital that Cameron works at and all of the staff loved him and his small family.
