DIN'S POV

"You don't have to go so soon," the seductive, yet monotonous female voice is heard from behind him.

Din Djarin, the Mandalorian, didn't acknowledge the woman or look at her as he stood facing the dingy wall of the hotel room. Still wearing his helmet and armor, he quickly pulls up his pants and zips them up. The woman was pale and skinny, her thin dirty blonde hair was draped over her neck and shoulders. She was hideous and smelled like sweat from a thousand men. A thin layer of stained bedsheets covered her waist as she laid naked on the small bed. She was a well-known prostitute who hangs around his favorite cantina on Canto Bight. He initially only stopped here for fuel and supplies, however he needed to release some frustration after not being able to locate his latest bounty. He has spent the last two weeks tracking her down and so far he has only one lead.

"She's dangerous," Greef said to him back on Nevarro. "She's already killed several hunters. The reward for her capture is high. So, others may be out looking for her as well."

He was warned the target is cunning and very powerful. Greef Karga, the head of the Bounty Hunter's Guild, suggested that he should work with another hunter on this job. The quarry is a human female, no chain code and goes by many different names. Yet Din eagerly accepted this job as long as he works alone, against the advice of his comrades. It's been three years since Grogu left him, three years since he took possession of the darksaber, three years since he broke his creed. He couldn't face his covert after that. To this day, the memories of that mission still haunts him.

He feels it's best if he's alone, wandering the galaxy for his next job or his next bounty. He has no one to protect and no one to care for. Recently he has cared too much. Nowadays, he doesn't care at all. Karga has been saying he's been behaving more reckless, and even on the edge of suicidal since the events on Moff Gideon's ship. Perhaps he is.

When the sex worker spoke to him again, Din was already putting his pistol back into it's holster, then strapped the beskar spear to his back before placing a pile of credits on the table.

"Come on, please stay," she said again in a very dull voice.

"Your payment is on the table," Din said emotionlessly as he storms out the dark and dirty hotel room.

A Farming Village
Planet Felucia

The Crest II collided into the moist ground of an Outer Rim planet with a loud crash. It's landing gear dug deep into the soft soil in a densely overgrown tropical jungle. Din Djarin, the Mandalorian, awoke in a cloud of smoke and flames. All the sensors were going off at the same time, indicating massive damage to multiple sections of the ship.

His vision is blurred. His ears are ringing. The scent of gasoline fills the air. When his vision slowly comes into focus, he sees that part of the ceiling had caved in. It just registered to him that one of the metal support beams has pierced completely through his right leg. He sees a pool of blood on the floor. Every time he inhales, smoke pours into his lungs and he coughs. It's hard to breathe. His left side hurts, like a knife wound.

The pain didn't rush through him all at once. Due to the adrenaline in his system, it came to him gradually. He tries to remember the last of his memories. He had been aboard this new ship, one he had just recently purchased from his ally, Boba Fett, so that he could return to bounty hunting. He was trying to recover some semblance of his old life. He does remember dodging meteors, then hitting one. The very last thing he can recall was seeing trees rapidly approaching him from below.
