After some very intimate and sensual make up time, Briar and Greyson walked out of the room. Everyone had already left for Faren's, per Briar's request. She moved to her bag and pulled out her phone. Greyson walked over to his freezer and pulled out a frozen pizza and turned on the oven. The two of them just wanted to stay in for the night and be together. If her stomach hadn't of growled like a lion, they most certainly wouldn't have even left to bedroom. Briar flipped her phone open but paused when she heard Greyson groan. She looked up as he stormed over.

"I gave you all that money and you still have this crappy little thing?" He remarked as he snatched her phone out of her hand.

"I didn't think it would be smart to waste my money on something as silly as a phone," she giggled as she snatched her phone back.

"It's not silly and we will be going and getting you a new one tomorrow," he sighed.

"You are not wasting any more money on me," she remarked and walked over to the island bar and sat on the tall barstool.

"It's my money, I'll do what I want with it," he mimicked her tone right back. Briar rolled her eyes.

"Speaking of money, how's the restaurant coming along?" He asked as he walked around and put the pizza in the oven.

"Slowly, but it's worth it. I'm restoring it to its former glory and adding a couple of new touches. That reminds me, I do need you to sign some paperwork while I'm here," she said. Greyson closed the oven door and looked up.

"What kind of paperwork?" He asked curiously.

"Just that you will be signing our paychecks and some other business partner stuff we can go over later," she shrugged. He nodded and they talked aimlessly until the pizza was finished. Greyson asked about Eli and Briar teared up thinking about how her baby boy was at camp and she wouldn't get to see him for an entire two weeks. Greyson listened happily. Briar felt nothing but panic and fear when she first arrived. Telling Greyson most of the truth that was the horror of her life. Letting someone into her heart more for the first time in years and a part of her was still absolutely terrified for him to know, but she was so afraid to lose him.

After pizza and catching up, Briar and Greyson somehow found their way back to the bedroom to tangle up in the sheets once more. Briar could never get enough of his touch or his kiss. She felt like a love drunk fool by just being in the same room with him. He drove her body wild with want and at times it almost seemed insatiable. Was it like this with Matt? A sick thought to have, but hell, she'd never felt like this. This was some fairytale, smut-fantasy crap that just didn't happen to someone like her. Greyson made her feel alive.

The night gave way to morning and they both finally fell asleep. When she woke up again, there was a wildflower and a note on the pillow next to her. Briar yawned and slowly sat up. She opened the note to see Greyson had to leave for a while but said Myrick would be there to help Briar with whatever she needed. Briar found herself biting her lip as she couldn't stop the smile that grew. She fell back into the pillow as she clutched the note to her chest and sighed. After a few minutes of living in La-La land she decided to get up and go shower. Briar wrapped the grey, silky sheet around her body and walked out to where her bag was still sitting in the front room. She took two steps and screamed when she heard someone talk behind her. Briar spun around to see Myrick with a mouth full of what looked like eggs clumsily losing the grip on his plate, seeming just as surprised as her.

"Oh jeez, crap socket!" He shouted, Briar turned and darted back into the bedroom.

"Warn somebody before you scare them!" She shouted as she slammed the door and quickly put on her clothes from the day before.
