“I wasn’t planning on it.” Fortuna smiled. I had a feeling that we could become… friends? We walked out of the forest together.

“Ellllaaaaaa!!!!!” I heard Glory call. I looked around and saw Glory running straight towards me. She stopped when she saw Fortuna.

“Oh. I was going to tell you we couldn’t find her.” She paused, “But I guess you found her!” I coud tell Fortuna was getting tense. Was this why she never wanted to be seen? Because they speak of her like she isn’t there?

“Guys, she’s right here. You don’t need to speak in third person.” I told them while smiling at Fortuna. Glory gasped, “Oh! I’m so sorry Fortuna.” “It’s alright Glory.” She tried to keep a straight face, but I could tell she wanted to smile. Someone cared enough to not talk about her in third person.

“Well you said that you were looking for all of the card holders right Ella?” Fortuna asked me. We were all seated at a picnic bench in the forest. “Yes. Let me see who we need to find next.”

Dear Finder,

This time you need to find three

The triple threat you see?

Chimera, Pixie, Elf

You may need more than just yourself

Cadmus, Wizard of Myths

Well that one was short and sweet. “It says we need to find three people.” I told them. “It’s Chimera, Fairy, and Elf isn’t it.” Aden sighed. I was surprised he knew who I was talking about.

Fortuna nodded, “Pratt, Caleb, and Portia are always together. I mean they call themselves the Trickster Trio.” Well now it makes sense.

I realized that all we have been doing is travelling. We decided to relax at a hotel before leaving to find the trio. Fortuna recommended the Lily Bloom Hotel. It was nice to rest for a bit, even if it was only for a day.

I kicked off my shoes and hopped on my bed. Fortuna’s bed was on my right and Glory’s was on the left. They both seemed kind of tense around each other, I wonder why? I’ll ask them tomorrow. Then before I realized it, I was asleep.

I was running and I wouldn’t look back. He was chasing me, but why? “Get back here Ella!” I didn’t go to him. “Why are you running? We are helping you!”

“No! I like my powers, you won’t take them away from me father!” I screamed. I ran and ran until he was out of sight.

I gasped and found myself wide awake with beads of sweat dripping down my face. Was that dream about my past? I looked a lot younger. I decided to keep this to myself, like a lot of other of my secrets.
