I felt filthy soil beneath my hands. The feeling of grass was enveloping my hands. I felt an ominous foreboding as I looked up at the sky. I gathered my strength and stumbled onto my feet.
I check my pockets. "WHERE THE F**K ARE MY GRANOLA BARS?" I shouted as I rapidly checked every inch of my body. "I'm so hungry. Did I eat them already?" Dammit.
I'm sure this place has food somewhere. Wait, where am I? Why was the fact that I didn't know where I am the second problem? I do a little stomp kick at the wall.I did a little walking and noticed a chest sitting against a rock. Food? I giddily opened the chest. A tool box? Boring. This isn't food.
I yeet the toolbox and it hit something that looks like a broken generator. Generator? I wonder what it does. I pick up the tool box again and get to work. Piecing the parts correctly and quickly to get the job done.
I continue working on the generator and my heart rate increases and eventually I can hear my heart beat. Why is my heart beating so fast? I get nervous and slip on my generator causing it to explode. Crap! I didn't mean to do that. Oh well.
I get back into the generator again and continue my work. I felt a cold hand grip my shoulder and snatch me from the generator. What the hell?! Suddenly I'm on someone's shoulder. I see a bright flash and all of a sudden I'm off her shoulder. This is all happening so fast. What the hell is happening?!
I run away and hide behind a rock to catch my breathe. A girl comes up to me. Her skin was dark and her hair was black. In her hand was a flashlight.
"You ok?" the stranger asks me as she sits next to me.
"I guess. Who was that?"
"We're not sure. We call her The Huntress." The girl takes a good look around before continuing. "You're new aren't you?"
"New? New to what? I have no idea where I am."
"My name is Claudette. Just so you know, you will get hurt here." Claudette puts her hand on my shoulder softly. "Just do gens and survive. You'll get the hang of it. Feel free to ask me for help."
Claudette stood up and gave me a quick wave goodbye.
I looked at her confused. "Where-where are you going?"
"I have to get busy. The Huntress won't stop and wait for us."
I watched her disappear in the fog. A cold shiver runs down my spine. I stand up and walk against the edge of the wall. Back to my previous "gen."I finish the generator and hear a blood curdling scream a good bit away. "Claudette?"
I sneak towards the scream and see Claudette draped over a hook. "The hell?!"
I run up to her and take her off of it. I see The Huntress speedily making her way towards us. "Run Claudette!"
Claudette dashes away into the distance. I run into the wood lodge and make a sharp turn. I trap myself in a corner. Sh*t. I examine the view ahead of me hoping The Huntress either walks by or doesn't turn this way.
I wait there for a moment and peak around the corner. She's staring directly at me with her hatchet ready in her hand. I sprint forward and vault a window. I wasn't fast enough however. Her hatchet pierces my back and I let out a scream of pain. I yank out the hatchet and proceed.
My breathing is rapid and my heart beat erratic. She is still pursuing me but I take the chance to stun her with a pallet. Didn't know I could do that. Then, I hide in a locker. Not the best plan I know but what else should I do?
Apparently, I wasn't quiet enough because she came straight to the locker. She opened the locker and pulled me over her shoulder. Mother fu*ker!
All the generators are done and my teammates are opening the doors. No one has died so far. Though, I might be the first. The Huntress throws me against the wall of the lodge and rushes to the doors.
She manages to down everyone. I have no idea how she did that but she did. It only took one hit too. We're all dead now. This isn't fair. They all worked so hard to escape. I watched as my teammates were hooked one by one.
Now it was my turn. The Huntress came up to me and picked me up. I wiggled but it was no use. She took me to the basement and put me on the floor. What is she doing? Her soft hymn continued as she examined me.
I was propped up against a wall on the floor. Blood slowly flowed from my body coating the floor and wall with a crimson red.
The Huntress kneeled down and grabbed my chin and forced my eyes to looks at hers. Our faces were only a few inches apart.
The only words I could muster were, "Who are you?"
I received no reply.
