Ushijima groaned, opening his eyes to see a pitch white ceiling. Where was he? Wasn't he in the street? A doctor came in the room. "It seems that you're awake. That was fairly quick." he mumbled the last part. The ace looked around, finally realizing that he was in a hospital room.

"How... long..." he struggled to say. The doctor pushed up his glasses. (Midorima, is that u) The ace just wanted to leave and play volleyball as he always did.

"You've been asleep for almost a day, which is quite surprising due to your current situation. However, we need to have you in observation today. If everything is alright, tomorrow morning we'll discharge you." he spoke. The third year just nodded. The doctor then went to the door, opening it. And right after he did, Kageyama came in. She wore a white blouse, which was tugged in some black shorts. She had knee length black socks, and brown boots. Her hair was styled in two low ponytails.

"Ushijima-san!" she sighed in relief, a small smile replaced her usual scowl. The olive haired boy looked at her, confused. What was she doing here? Did she come to visit him?

"She was the one that found you injured, so she carried you here." the doctor explained, the setter nodding in agreement. Ushijima stared at her. He was kinda grateful for that.

"She also has some questions to ask you, so I'll leave you two alone." the doctor said, leaving the room. The raven felt her chest deflate. Her normal expression turned into a cold, serious one. She went to a chair next to the bed Shiratorizawa's ace rested on, and sat next to him.

"How are you feeling, Ushijima-san?" she asked, worry clear in her voice. Although she wouldn't show it, she was worried sick for the boy.

"Well, I'm certainly feeling better than yesterday, that's for sure." he bluntly answered, trying to sit up. However, pain shot up his back. The setter grabbed a cushion, placing it behind his back so that he could sit properly.

"Do you know what, or who attacked you?" she asked, her expression turning serious. Ushijima was surprised at the sudden change of tone.

"I don't know. Everything is foggy. The only thing I can see is... a flaming... bat? I don't know, all I know is that whatever it was, it was on fire." he explained. Even though it wasn't a lot, it already gave Kageyama an idea of what had happened. She clenched her fist, the one that was not bandaged at least. The ace noticed the sudden anger building up inside the setter.

"Hmm... You can't remember seeing anyone else?" she pressed further, trying to not release her anger. The olive haired boy stayed quiet for a while, trying to clear up his mind.

"I can't really remember... But I did remember seeing a really young girl staring at me. She had something red on. And that's all I can remember." he answered. Kageyama held her breath for a few seconds.

"I see..." she trailed off, her face darkening. The sole action confused the ace. Did she know something about this? If so, what was it? He really wanted to press further to try to extract more information, but the girl quickly saw what he wanted. She got up from her seat.

"I hope you recover as soon as possible, Ushijima-san. I'd love to play against you sometime soon." she spoke, slightly lowering her head. Of course, Ushijima didn't know she had been unfairly kicked out of the team. And she intended to keep it that way. She headed towards the door, reaching for the door handle.

"Kageyama Touko." he called. Said person turned to him, waiting for the words to come out of his mouth.

"You should come to Shiratorizawa." he told her. She slightly widened her eyes. But then she chuckled.

"Maybe I will." she simply answered, leaving the room. Ushijima fell silent. Did she actually mean that?

Kageyama entered her home, taking off her shoes. Her cold face turned into a scowl. She knew exactly who was behind this. "How did they even find a way to enter this world?! It doesn't make any god damn sense!" she groaned, entering her room and flopping onto her bed. Her stomach growled. She hadn't eaten anything since lunch at school, and even then she didn't eat that much. She was worried for Ushijima.

Ushijima. Shiratorizawa. His words were still in her mind. Why invite her now to Shiratorizawa?  Why now, and not before? She still remembers those words, saying that his school didn't need a setter who wouldn't devote themselves to the ace. Did he change his opinion? Or is it just because he thought she was talented? Eh, who cares. She had more important things to do. Like have something to eat, of course. Her stomach was rumbling really loudly, as if it was saying 'Feed me, human! I have all the rights to stay fed!'. Kageyama rolled off of her bed, slowly walking to the kitchen. She just wanted to get something. Anything was okay. Whether if it was an apple or some ramen. She looked like a zombie, limping her way to the kitchen. And then, as soon as she reached, she dropped to the floor, beggining to fall asleep. When was the last time she had gotten any sleep? That was the last thing she thought before her eyelids closed.
