From a young age, Nixi had always been different, a father of a Tiefling and a mother of a genie. Nixi wasn't like any of them, instead, he was a Gensai. A genie-like being with magical powers of one of the four elements. These elements are air, earth, water and fire. It may sound simple, but each element is completely different and can change a person's upbringing immensely. Although Nixi was a calmer more isolated person many tried to hurt him. His mother had abandoned him almost instantly, and his father was killed protecting him from those who thought they could control him for power. Once they knew they couldn't Nixi was sold as a slave and was known to have been beaten for the way he dressed. But they used it to their advantage as Nixi was quite feminine looking and was often confused for a girl almost instantly. They made him work for them and if he didn't make them a lot of money Nixi was punished, beaten and hung by his wrists in a hole they had dug in the back. The owners' children would often whip Nixi when he was down in that hole, a constant reminder that he had no control. He was a slave, a slave that had no right to live or do anything for himself.

This happened until the age of 11 when Nixi was being used as a punching bag by the father of the family and his friends. He and his friends took their anger out on Nixi for something that wasn't his fault but, he didn't fear death. Nixi welcomed it for the life he was living, forever trapped as a slave. That night he had several broken bones and was thrown out into the hole he now called his home, looking up at the full moon before being covered as the rain started to pour. Screams could be heard from inside the house, the stench of blood filled the air and then, silence. A cold eery silence echoed as the rain kept hounding down. Slowly footsteps could be heard approaching the top of the hole's entrance, a well-looking man leans in and calls out for help. A woman rushed over, and they help remove the shackles from Nixis wrists. The strangers look in worry and disgust at what they had done to Nixi and had tried to heal him. Nixi just looked at them and with his weak quiet voice he says, "I'm ready to die now". Nixi thought this was his final day and these people were here to hurt him. He looked at them one last time and then darkness, he loses consciousness.

A soft sound of a violin can be heard, and Nixi slowly opens his eyes, light fills the room, and he slowly looks around. He seems to be in a well-kept room that is clearly of those of higher status as a duke or noble. Several sets of clothes are left on a desk with a note. "These are for you; we didn't know what you would like so we left you a few choices. Please feel free to wear them don't worry, you are safe here". Nixi was confused, are these really for him? This must be for someone else he thought but he noticed he wasn't in anything after leaving the bed, so he put something on he thought looked nice. Nixi nervously leaves the room and follows the sound of music. There he finds the man he saw that night. The man stops and turns feeling the presence of someone. "Hello, I'm so glad you're finally awake, oh and I see you liked those clothes best, come sit with me". The man places down the violin and sits at a table by the window. Nixi slowly follows, still unsure who this person is and what their intentions are.

The man smiles and pours a cup of tea, "would you like some tea?" Nixi looks at it and slowly nods, he's never had tea before so being offered some is very new to him. The man pours the tea in a cup for him and smiles again, Nixi picks it up and takes a sip but spills the tea not expecting it to be hot. The man rushes over and helps clean Nixi up. "Ah I'm sorry, let me help you, ill get our maid to get you some clean clothes too". Nixi was confused, why is a person of higher status taking care of him, and what's in it for him when Nixi was nothing but a lowly slave? "Why am I here, is there something you want from me?!

The man looks shocked, he didn't know Nixis past, but he was starting to realise he never got to act for himself without others wanting something from him. "My name is Clem Yamada, me and my wife saved you and many others because we believe slaves don't deserve to be slaves, they are people just like us" Nixis eyes widened, this is the first time someone's seen him as an equal. Clem began to speak again this time calmer "For now you're staying with us until we can find a family to take care of you. Not many people want to be around a Gensai that are good-hearted you see" At that moment he knew what he wanted for himself, his first choice in life. "Let me stay with you, please sir!" Clem was shocked but after a moment of silence, he smiled and nodded, taking Nixi in as his own.

Over the years Nixi helped the family in setting slaves free and helping with the family business, they even had a peace treaty with the Kenku mafia who would give the family information on new slaves and the best ways to break into the homes to get them out. Everything was going well, not long after the family had a child, a baby boy with white hair. Nixi gave the child his name, the Yamada's requested he named the young boy. Circi Yamada, a play on the spelling but the name is of the goddess of magic and the daughter of Helios who was the god of the sun. A fitting name to a family who was as respected as the gods themselves. Nixi was happy, he got to be himself and he was with the people he could trust, but something was off, and he wanted to know what it was.

One night Nixi spied on the Yamada's and overheard that they were going to sell a Gensai to some men for money. He wasn't sure if what he heard was right, so he continued to listen just to make sure it wasn't true. "Clem, you can't be serious, can you?". "Serina, I'm sorry but... it's time. Tomorrow night is when it happens. I want you to bring Nixi to this location here and I'll do the rest". With hearing that by the Yamada's Nixi ran to the one place he knew would finish them off for betraying him. All his trust, faith and love for the family was broken. All he knew now was hatred. And he was going to make sure he won. Nixi ended up going to the Kenku Mafia boss and had explained the situation, if they were to kill the person who they raised as one of their own who's to say they wouldn't take out the mafia's family.

That night they set out to the Yamada manor and there Nixi watched as they killed Clem and Serina Yamada. The only condition the mafia had was to take their last names as payment along with everything they owned, they promised no one else would be hurt. Nixi agreed and grabbed Circi, who was asleep. They took Circi and agreed to raise him as their own, unfortunately, the mafias wife was unable to bear children, so this was acceptable to adopt. Nixi had packed his belongings and a yellow vale that Clem had given him as a gift. No matter how much he wanted to get rid of it, some things just weren't meant to be forgotten.

As Nixi went to the office to destroy the map he found some documents he didn't notice before. He reached out and looked at them. There his eyes widened, and he fell to his knees, they were plans of a new residence, it was for him. The Yamada's weren't trying to kill him they were celebrating the day they made him a family member by giving him his own house. With this information, the mafia would kill him for false information, and they would kill Circi too. Nixi started to cry, he didn't want any of this to happen. He thought they were going to kill him or sell him. Nixi knew he had made a grave mistake, but it was a mistake that couldn't be fixed. It took him a few minutes to clear his head and think of a plan for the next step. He wrote a letter for Circi to only open when he was ready to learn about his past. Nixi also burned any documents that were related to the incident at hand regarding the new house. Unfortunately, the flames grew too big and the whole room burst into flames. Everyone ran out of the manor and Nixi left after giving the mafia the letter. In several years he knew Circi, and the mafia would come for him, until then he knew he had to wait. His life wasn't worth living, he killed the only thing he cared about and was now a walking shell.

Several years later he had learned how to make a familiar and was followed by a jackalope who would make sure he didn't die. That was his way of repaying Nixi for saving his life many times before, he also knew how much Nixi was hurting. His regular nightmares and the running away when they got too close to individuals. It happened so often Nixi started calling Jesus Luci instead because of all the trouble he would cause just to keep him alive. Jesus and Fennec were all Nixi had, and he would make sure it would stay that way. Unfortunately, that's now how things go because even broken people deserve friends.
