"We've worked thirty long years to get to this point. Thirty years of assassinations, trickery, and death. Now we can finally cast down the Silver Bloods, we the Steel Pelts will rise." The Alpha of the Steel Pelt Pack bellowed. He was a burly man with brown, thick hair.

That night, they prepared a courier to send news to the Red Moon Pack that they'd join the pact.

"Alpha, are you sure our pack is up for this, we number only one hundred." The young beta said, worried. This hadn't been the first time they'd mingled with the SilverBlood Pack.

Infact, the last time they began to attack them, they'd lost a third of their men. The pack was barely managing with their forces stretched so thin. Only fifty of the packmembers were warriors.

"Beta, each of our wolves is worth ten of theirs. Their alpha is old and feeble. Even as we speak, our pack poisons the Silver Bloods' forests with poison concocted in our deepest labratories. How is our device going?" He demanded. Everything rid on the device. If it malfunctioned, they were as good as dead.

"It is ready for testing, but are you sure you want to use that. They could kill us all without lifting a finger." The beta said still worried. He had a right to be worried as werewargs were seldom created, there have only ever been werewolves, no one knows what werewargs can do.

"Release them, activate there souls, bind them to our unbonded children." The Alpha grinned. "Weak Silver Bloods, to scared to force a binding."

After four hundred years of no power, the humiliation would be over. By this time in three years, The Silverblood Pack would be no more.

"Tonight, we join the Pact!"

The wolves ran through the forest near the house, enjoying to the rush it gave them and the wind through their fur. The freedom they had.

The wolves gracefully twisted through the forest, enjoying the warmth of the sun on their gray pelts as they cross an occasional openings

They looked so happy as they play fight. They always looked happy.

Maybe one day, I'd know that happiness. Stepping away from the window, I head to my desk.

Taking out my homework, I looked over it. If I didn't, I might get something wrong and there would go my grades. Once my grades go, they get worst and Id have nothing in my life I can control. One day, I'd be the Alpha of the SilverBlood pack and I couldn't mess that up. So if I can handle my grades, I can handle the pack. No big deal.

My name is Michael Silver. I'm 16 years old. And I still haven't shifted. I sighed. Usually, the Alpha would have shifted first. And still, I'be watched as my packmembers and classmates shift one by one. And when your the last one, people aren't exactly nice to you.

Having checked my homework, I got up. Turning the knob of the door, I left the room.

As I walked down the hall, I took my phone out of my pocket. Checking my missed calls, I found no one had called me. Whatever.

I lived in the pack house, the house in which the pack lived.

Seeing my mother, I smiled and wave. Seeing me, she walks upto me says hello, before saying,"Connor is looking for you,"

I sigh. Connor. I must have training today. Running down the polished stairs, I wave to James, the pack omega. Smiling, he waves back. Passing the kitchen, I hear snickering. Stopping to see what the fuss was, I turn to see Kyle, the Beta's son laughing with his friends as they began to shake a bottle of soda.

"Hey James,"Kyle called out.

Hearing his name, James enters the kitchen, nervous. Tossing the bottle to him, Kyle says, snickering,"Open it."

Listening, James begins to open the bottle.

"Don't,"I said, "they shook the bottle,"
Looking at James, I say,"Just go back to doing what you were doing,"

James flashes me a grateful smile as he hurried to leave the room.

Smiling, I turned to see the menacing figure of Kyle towering over me.

"Why do you have to ruin all of our fun?" He said.

I never like Kyle. He was an annoying brat. He acted all cool but he was really just a bully. So annoying.

I scoffed. "Gees, are you a first grader, cause you're acting like one." I said.

Kyle pushes me back.

Stumbling back, I look at Kyle's towering figure. I was too small to fight him, let alone his friends. Getting into a fighting stance, I braced myself.

The wind flies past me as I run the track. My wound are still sore from the beating I'd gotten from the three of those kids. My lungs heaved as I ran the course. In front of me was the entire pack. I couldn't run fast than them.

The sound of the tapping of my sneakers on the asphalt was all I could hear as I exerted myself. I strained myself. Come on.

Coming to a stop, I fell to the floor. People around me, scoffed as they watched me struggle with the 10 mile run.

Getting up, I limped into the house. I was tired. I didn't know what was wrong with me.

Closing the door of my room, I plopped onto the desk chair and closed my eyes, resting. Resting my body, I began to feel the wear and tear of my actions.

What was wrong with me? I'd always been like this, even with the Alpha Gene in my DNA, I was always last. Why?

Why?

WHY?

I don't know.

Getting up, I looked at my watch. I still had time to visit my Dad in the Medical Wing.
