They had never been as content before as they were now. Everyone was gathered around the chimney that enlightened the room in a soft shine; it reflected on her skin in her golden glimmer. Her vampires sat around her, everyone touching her. Her head rested in Fellon's lap, face cuddled against his palm. Miles sat next to him, hand on her cheek which he caressed in a slow, loving pattern. Maddox held her hand, raising it to his lips for a gentle kiss every now and then. Nolen held her other, his thumb stroking over her knuckles at all time as his eyes marvelled at her. Erros sat at her legs, orbs lost in the golden glamour his palm rested on. Wrem's fingers were gentle as she grazed the scar on her neck and shoulder.
She opened her eyes and felt as happy as can be in this moment. Her chest swelled with love and warmth at the touch of those she loved and the warmth surrounding her.
"Is this our life now?" Nolen spoke up in a soft tone, squeezing Lilith's hand slightly.
"What do you mean?" Wrem aked equally lovely.
"Spending all the time together that we want, with whatever we want to do?" He looked up at Wrem and the others smiled at his words.
"Guess with our Queen here we literally won't have to worry about anything anymore."
Lilith giggled as she met Fellon's eyes, before looking at Nolen. "We'll do whatever we want." Everyone's face lifted by a smile, their chests swelling in delight. Finally, oh finally this circle was broken. With Lilith at their side, who would dare to attack them? No fears, no commitments aside from one another anymore.
"We'll live together in peace." The smile on her lips has not shifted in the slightest, orbs that had lingered on the glinting flames met those of Maddox, a knowing look in them. "Until the war begins."
