Chapter 8

2 years later....

Y/N slowly open her eyes then look at the ceiling blankly like she just woke up from a short nap. She look at the window and notice it's night time so she get up and look beside her. The futon where Nezuko supposed to be sleeping on is now left on the floor. She become worried because she remember Nezuko slept for a week without waking and now she's gone. What she doesn't know, is that she slept for 2 years without waking up together with Nezuko. She ran towards the door, only to notice it is knockdown on the ground. She heard a sniffle noises near her so she turn her head towards the direction of noise. There, she saw Mr. Urokodaki hugging Nezuko and Tanjiro who is worn out, injured and full of bruises. She run towards them and join the hug.

"Neesan!! You're awake too!!" Tanjiro exclaimed in relief then hug her tightly.

Y/N return the hug but only for a short while. Then she hold him in place and look at the bruises and injury with worry. She look at him angrily as the muzzle muffled her angry voice. Like asking him who did this to him then look at Mr. Urokodaki accusingly. Urokodaki only sweatdrop due to her being overprotective.

"N-neesan... D-don't be angry at Mr. Urokodaki. I got injured from final selection" Tanjiro said nervously while trying to calm her down "Look at me, Neesan... I passed the final sleection! I'm a demon slayer now!"

Y/N's eyes brighten then look at him proudly. She doesn't know why she felt that way and wonder if it's really a big deal being demon slayer when she still have her memories. Then she remember Mr. Urokodaki explain to them about demon slayers and also about them, demons. She suddenly thought that Tanjiro might leave them behind to travel and slay demons. Her mood suddenly change and turn gloomy.

"Uh... Neesan? What's wrong?"

Y/N suddenly starts to cry then look at Nezuko. Nezuko tilt her head sideways and give her a questioning look.

"Hm?"

Y/N cry again as she hum in fast pace.

"HmMmm hm hmmmm hm hmmMm hmm!!" Y/N hum at Nezuko.

Mr. Urokodaki and Tanjiro give her a confused look because they can only smell her emotions but still can't understand what she says. For the first time, Nezuko clearly understand what Y/N tried to say to her so she also starts to cry.

"Hmmmm!!!"

"Neesan, Nezuko, what's wrong?!" Tanjiro panicked

Few days have passed, but Tanjiro and Urokodaki still didn't have a clue why they are both upset. Tanjiro tried to ask Y/N what's wrong so she answer but all she do is hum in fast manner which he didn't understand. He can only smell that they are both sad and upset and he wants to know why.

A week passed and Tanjiro received a letter that his swordsmith will arrive soon with his newly made nichirin blade with the ore he chosen. This made Tanjiro excited and go outside to wait for the swordsmith.

Urokodaki calmly drink his tea then look at open door of the room to see Y/N hugging Nezuko under the blanket.

"Y/N" Urokodaki called in stern voice which stop both of them from the warm hug. " I need to say important things to you"

Y/N look at him for a second but release Nezuko and get out of the blanket. She stand near him and look at him for permission to sit which he give a nod for confirmation.

"Y/N...... I know you're concern about Tanjiro and don't want him to get hurt but you have to standby. No matter what happens, don't interfere. If he gets used on relying on you to slay demons, he will never get far and that will put him and his sister more in danger. I have a feeling that he will meet Kibutsuji in the future" Urokodaki look at her for a moment to see her demon eyes dilated after hearing a certain name " If all of you encounter much powerful demon and you know they can't handle it, then their safety will be in your hands, especially, if all of you will encounter that man again, don't let Tanjiro fight him. As I noticed, you still have uncontrollable anger when someone mention the name of that man... I suggest you to controll it. If you let your emotions take over .....death will come to you"
