VIA is a young scholar who dreams of becoming a Sigillor--a magician who can bind words of power to glass objects. More than anything else, she yearns for the sense of purpose that the role will bring, because the Sigillors' magic is the only thing keeping the floating city of Inarra from plunging into the sea.
But when a simple trip to collect a book ends in an ambush, Via's attempt to defend herself has unexpected and disastrous consequences--forcing her to flee with a fire raging behind her and a stranger's blood on her hands.
CELIAN is a street thief who pledges his loyalty to nobody but his older sister, Nyssa. Ever since their parents were executed at Traitor's End, the siblings have barely managed to survive on their wits, their courage, and more than a little good luck.
But their luck finally runs out when Nyssa is betrayed and forced to follow the same fate as her parents. All alone and burning with hate, Celian will stop at nothing to get his revenge on those responsible.
As Via and Celian's destinies collide, their choices will prove whether they have what it takes to survive . . .
or if their souls will be shattered like glass.

AUTHOR'S NOTE
Thank you so, so much for taking the time to read Via and Celian's story! I "met" these two only recently, but the initial spark of an idea combined with other ideas I had floating around my head, and so the world of the Glass City was born.
I couldn't wait to start writing this story so I could share it with you all.

Note: The Sigil words used in the story are in Tagalog, which is one of the languages I speak (I'm Filipino). I hope that fellow Tagalog speakers will appreciate this little aspect of the story :)
