𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆: My phone notification rapidly whirled in my lock screen. I steadily reached for the phone and read the messages in my head."Oi Loser." I read.

 "It's me, Justin"

 "You ruined my chance."

"And you'll regret what you did."

The moment I engraved the last word in my mind, I shivered. I visualized what possibilities would happen to me, having to know I'll suffer under any pain. I didn't bother to read any further so I dumped my phone on the bed mattress, hearing the springs vault as it fell.

"Heck." I sighed into my defeat. As soon as I relaxed my elbow on the desk, I accidentally spilt the hot chocolate on the ground, creating splatters of thick liquid spread out on the knitted carpet. And just in time, Mum arrived.

"Oh, dear!" She shrieked as she has witnessed a spill.

"Oh um..." I uttered.

She looked down at the carpet and spoke, "Clean this up right this instant."

"I will but first, can you fetch me some towels?"

"Oh boy, did you forget your manners?" She shook her head in dismay.

"P-please?"

"Sure." And off she went.

Could this day get any worse? I buried the palm of my hand in my eyes, trying to get my game together but I couldn't, what was wrong with me? Something with Felicity just shot an imaginary poisoned arrow in my chest, nothing like this has happened to anyone else, she was just the special one, or was she?

My alarm usually woke me up today but I overslept for a bit.

"Mateo! Rise and shine, wake up!" Briella, my younger sister yelled as she unsealed the curtains and a beam of sunshine has lasered into my eyes, bright enough for me to wake up.

"Bri, what time is it?" I moaned while covering my eyes from the spark of light.

"8:20, you're late."

"Oh shoot," I muttered, swiftly leaping out of bed and ignoring the fact that my bed was filthy with untidy bed sheets and bits of hair sticking from my pillow.

"I can make you breakfast, I have 10 minutes to spare before I leave." She assisted.

"Yes, please!" I wailed, worrying about the time span I have left before I needed to go.
