October 15
"It came to my attention that a kingdom to the west of us wants to unite with us." He smirks, "of course, there was no need for me to deny. Tomorrow, you will arrive to the castle."
It was that cold, icy, feeling that wrapped and squeezed around my heart, like a weight sinking down to my pit of my stomach. This wasn't supposed to happen, it wasn't supposed to happen, it couldn't. There's still so much I wanted to do, yet as a princess I couldn't deny my father's wishes. Who would want a runaway princess?
"Y-Yes, of course, father." I shakily reply, swallowing my pride. I gripped to my dress tightly before curtsying.

I cried and cried as soon I was in the comfort of my room. I didn't want this. All my dreams tossed aside for a kingdoms' benefit that I wanted no part of. It should have been me that day. At least, I wouldn't have suffered a fate like this.
I got up and wipe my tears. No. I shouldn't give up that easily. There's still hope. I clench my fist. There has to be.
But who could help me? Surely, no one would dare go against the king for fear of being executed.
Not who, a what.
A voice said. I searched around wildly for whoever had spoke. There was no one here. Was I finally going crazy?
You are not going crazy. I only appear to whomever needs my help.
"You can read my thoughts?" I asks, fully aware and embarrassed at the fact that I was talking to myself. "Wait, you're a Kuroo, right?" Mother had told me about them. They're kind creatures that rarely leave their homes and only contact people through telepathy. No one has seen what they looked like so far. And their abilities varies.
Yes and yes.
"So then, what do you mean by not a who but a what?"
Books. You'll find what you're looking for in your books collection.
That wasn't much of a help at all. At least, I know where I should start in order to find what I need.

I searched through enough books that a normal person would find absurd. I yawn. It was night now and my arms have grown tired from holding the lantern. But I can't stop, not until I find it.
I flipped through pages after pages, until I stopped at one. It was the last few pages of the book. "Isle of the lost dreams, an island that has a mystical power rooted deep in its jungles. However, guarding the island are sirens known for sinking entire ships by their alluring voices. No one so far has make it out alive." I read aloud.
That peaked my interest. Perhaps with this I could avoid being married off to a prince. And quite possibly revive my mother.
