Slade fired the weapon at the boy wonder which caught everyone's attention, Jon flew down from where he was hiding to protect Damian moments later there was a bright white light blinding all of them. The next thing Jon knew he was waking up in his and Damian's bed in the farm house as the sun shone through the window. Something felt off but Jon couldn't place his finger on it, he got up out of the bed and walked down the stairs and into the kitchen there was no sign of life at all he then looked at the time it was 13:00, Jon stood there thinking Damian never lets me sleep past eight until his train of thought was interrupted.
"Daddy, Daddy look what I found in the field" a little girl exclaimed bursting through the back door
"I saw it first" a boy said following
"Beloved your up, I would have thought you'd sleep all day after last night" Damian said kissing him
Jon stood there confused
"Look Daddy it's a four leaf clover, Daddy says they are rare" the girl babbled on
"Ellie your Dad is still clearly tired, give him a minute to wake up, and Tommy don't pout the next one we find is yours. Why don't you both go look for another one, I'll be out in a minute" Damian said
"Fine" Tommy sighed
"Why do you look so confused" Damian asked
"Because we have kid and we were still teenagers at the gala last night" Jon replied
"You really did have a late night last night didn't you. Let me make you some breakfast" Damian stated
"Okay" Jon said kissing him
"So you can watch the kids and make sure they don't get hurt" Damian said
Jon left the kitchen and walked out the back door and into the fields behind the house and followed the kids into the field. After a few minutes Damian exited the house and sat beside Jon on the steps and gave him his breakfast.
"I've missed you" Damian said laying his head on Jon's shoulder
"Missed me?" Jon questioned
"Yeah, I know we talked everyday but you've been away for the past week and got home at three this morning, I missed you" Damian replied
"Well I have no recollection of any of that" Jon stated
"Wow you must be really, really tired forgetting a whole week" Damian laughed in response
"Dami I am not tired, this isn't right we are supposed to be teenagers not adults with kids" Jon said
"Did you hit your head beloved, I think it would be best to get you back into bed" Damian stated
Damian helped Jon up and guided him up to the room and laid him on the bed
"Now you get some much needed rest and I will get you for dinner" Damian said kissing Jon
Once Damian's lips parted from Jon's, Jon started remembering things he didn't live through as Damian left the room. He passed out from the pain of all these memories entering his head. He was asleep for at least four hours before he was woken.
"Daddy you need to wake up" Tommy stated jumping up and down on the bed
"Huh, what why what's wrong?" Jon asked tiredly
"It's dinner time, we can't eat without you" Tommy cheered
"Okay then let's go" Jon said standing up
Jon picked up his son and carried him down to the dining room where Ellie was already sitting and Damian was bringing the food out.
"Can I eat now" Ellie asked
"Yes, yes you can. Feeling any better beloved or are you still delusional" Damian asked rubbing his shoulders from behind
"Feeling much better Dami" Jon replied
"Good" Damian said kissing him
"Eww" the twins said
"You two stop it, it's completely normal" Damian replied
"Okay Dami just sit down and eat, they'll learn it eventually" Jon said
"Alright" Damian said taking his seat
"So who wants to tell me what happened while I was away?" Jon asked
"We did lots and lots" Tommy exclaimed
"We went to the beach with Krypto and Titus" Ellie stated
"They shook water all over Daddy" they both laughed
"Titus, your well behaved and trained dog soaked you" Jon laughed
"He had a minor lapse in judgement but he's still a good boy, aren't you" Damian said petting the dog who was lying beside his chair
The family continued laughing and eating as Jon was regaled with the twins tales, he felt happy and at home but he still had a horrible feeling in the back of his head that something was wrong. After playing games with twins they were sent to bed and Jon collapsed on the couch and turned on the TV.
"Dami, want to watch TV?" Jon asked
"Sure but I could think of a few better things to do" Damian replied
"Like what" Jon questioned sitting up
"I don't know it's been a week since I've seen you and the twins are asleep" Damian smirked
Damian sat on top of Jon and began to kiss Jon, Jon began to lean into the kiss before the two of them were interrupted.
"Daddy I can't sleep" Ellie stated
"Neither can I" Tommy followed
"Why what's wrong" Jon asked as Damian rolled onto the couch beside Jon
"Daddy didn't read us a bedtime story" they replied
"Dami you didn't read to them, here I'll read you a story" Jon said
Jon walked the two children up to their room and scanned through their bookshelf until he found their favourite book, The Cat in the Hat. He read it to them before tucking them in and kissing their foreheads. He then went back down to Damian and they continued what they had started.
