What happens when the man assigned to guard Hermione's life becomes the one thing she wants most?
*Flashback*
He pulls me into a tight embrace, and his eyes lock onto mine.
Hermione P.O.V
This man. I don't know what it is about him, but I can't seem to stay away. If this is wrong, then I don't want to be right.
"I-I want..."
He leans in until our lips just barely brush, sending tingles down my spine.
"What do you want baby?"
I look straight into his eyes and take a deep breath, aware my answer will change everything between us. But before I can admit what's been on my mind ever since I met him, a different, familiar voice chills me straight to the bone.
"What's going on here?!"
Is that my husband?
*End of flashback*
Ten days earlier...
Although being Ron Weasley's wife has it's perks, the downsides are far greater. Every moment of my life is planned out and scrutinized, every wrinkle scoffed at.
"Good morning Lavender." I flash a wide smile at the blond witch, who looks almost startled to see me. Her cheeks are flushed and her mouth remains open right until the elevator doors close between us.
What's up with her. I think to myself. As soon as I reach the third floor, I walk straight into Ron's office and glance down at my watch.
Ron and I are supposed to have a sit-down interview with Rita Skeeter today to discuss his new campaign. We're running a bit late – we'll have to hurry if we want to make it on time.
I open my mouth to announce my arrival, but the sight before me stops me in my tracks.
Is that Cho Chang, his new personal assistant?
She's half-sitting on the edge of the desk, facing my husband. When I notice her hand rubbing him between his legs, it doesn't take me long to realize what's going on. I slam the door shut behind me, and the sound makes a deafening metal clang.
"Good morning Ronald."
"Hermione!" Ron immediately stands up, which sends Cho tumbling to the ground.
"Ouch!"
It doesn't take her long to get back on her feet, and her eyes grow wide when she notices me.
"Mrs. Weasley! It's so nice to see you again!" I nod in her direction.
"Cho."
"Wow you look lovely, Mrs. Weasley!"
Cho fixes her blouse, then runs a hand through her hair, giving me a big nervous smile. When I look at Cho, I pity her. She can't really believe this is the first time I've walked in on something like this, can she?
"I forgot you were coming, darling. Time must have gotten away from me. We have that...?"
"The interview with Rita Skeeter, sir." Ron shoots her a smirk and she blushes.
"What exactly had you so Preoccupied, dear?" Or should I say who.
"You know, the usual. I'm up to my neck in paperwork lately."
"Of course. And what is Cho doing here?"
"Ms. Chang was just helping me—"
"There it is!"
