Unhappy birthday

You know how in every story that's told there's always that one person that helped out the most and wasn't even recognized? Well that one person in the story i'm about to tell is Adira. Adira was always hard working in her job as a part of the FBI. She worked mostly night shifts but she did make an exception once in a while.And today was the exception, today was to be her 28th birthday. Every year on her birthday she had the tradition of spending the entire night with her parents. Adira also had an older sister Freya but she wasn't around as much. They didn't really like to talk about her because she moved out when she was 14 and lived with their grandma since. Although Adira always tried to find a connection with her sister, Freya never responded. She always thought maybe this year would be different but it was always the same. And little did she know this year would be different, way different... Adira woke up to the faint sound of her alarm letting her know that it was time for work. When she realised what day it was she jumped out of her bed in joy. Even though she never enjoyed getting older as an adult.

Adira ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth and take a shower. Then, she got dressed. Adira wore a suit made for women much like this one.She also remembered that she would be eating her favorite meal today. Adira's favorite meal was onion greens, baked mac and cheese, baked chicken, and her mom's home cooked ham.Oh how she loved her mothers ham she always made it best when she put cloves in it. Anyways Adira grabbed a banana and went out to her car. She drove a black 1967 chevy impala, a classic really, if you ask me.Adira drove to her dreaded workplace. It's not that she hated her job, it was that she hated her boss. Her boss always overloaded her with cases, and the cases never made sense. Her current case was the craziest she'd ever seen. "Apparently some man was perfectly happy in his marriage +one day, and then the next he was bashing his wife's brain in, it's unbelievable." Adira said to her coworker. "Yeah man that's crazy, why would he even do that" said Adira's trusted friend You may ask who she's talking to and I'll tell you. This is Irena, her name meaning peace and let me also tell you she is quite the opposite. Irena and Adira grew up together and they were always best friends. While Adira was the quiet and friendly one, Irena was the loud and chaotic one. No matter their differences they loved each other very much. And no not in that way but as the friends that they were I mean they're practically sisters. For instance their mothers practically gave birth right next to each other.
