Chapter 1: What's my name

"God I hate this fucking place" I muttered under my breath in study hall. I sat in the back of the class, I didn't like attention or the feeling people were staring at me. So I decided to keep it safe and stay in the back... no matter how much I hated school I need the credits to make it to college-
I looked forward to the teacher on his phone "so you get paid just to go on your phone.. pathetic" I thought in my head instantly going back to my work on the computer. Felt like a while later a couple walks in, I think they were I'm not too sure I don't like to get involved with the school drama I just know when it's those two who left the classroom together, it usually meant they were fucking in the bathroom or the locker rooms- it's not my place to say but I think that's gross as fuck. Whatever's I only have two more weeks until spring break, you would think as being a senior you are used to the long school hours. I never am I just wanna go home right now and lay on my bed just to work more.
Finally, the last minutes of class zoomed by. I threw my packed bag over my shoulder, I was so tired all I wanted was some food and watch movies on repeat. I don't care which one I'll watch it anything sounds great. I said as I thought of movies to watch as I closed my locker and walked towards the front doors of the school, but instead, I was stopped by someone. She held my shoulder causing me to lose my shit and freak out for a minute "WHAT THE FUCK" I jumped. when I turned around it was the girl that walked in with the other guy "great, another one to ask for help for the upcoming tests. Just my luck" I said with sarcasm in my head The girl gave a nervous giggle she was about almost a foot away above me- "damn she's tall" I thought and her hair was dyed blue. She wore a white jacket with black ripped jeans and looked down at me as I looked up. "sorry didn't mean to scare you" she replied
"Not a problem," I said rolling my eyes turning around, and walking away from her. But sadly she caught on and walked up next to me
"So I heard you tutor some of our classmates and I was wondering-"
I cut her off "Not happening, I'm trying to relax this break not help someone past the assessments they missed because they rather have fun" I looked at her still walking as she looked down she seemed a little embarrassed at what I said but I'm too heartless to care what others think anymore.
"Well your not wrong, I hate learning but I really need to pass or else I can't get a job at least" she stopped walking and so did I "not even McDonald's would take me in" I scoffed and laughed a little "please, I'll do anything just for a couple of lessons," she asked pouting "try attending class," I said turning back and opening the doors to exit the school
"You're an ass you know that nerd," she said before I walked out..this sentence caused me to turn out and glare at her then smile "learn my name," I said "what?" The tall girl replied "Learn my name and I'll help you. If you don't learn my name by Wednesday I won't help you with your lessons" the girl scoffed and said "I know your name"
I let go of the door turning around and approaching her swiftly as I said "What's my name Lapis Lazuli-Jones?" I smirked and looked up at her seeing she thought truly hard about this answer. I waited and listened to her stutter, watched as her eyes moved back and forward. I scoffed and walked away "this is why you pay attention" I open the door and left her in the halls. Walking to the bus stop, home, and then repeat it all. That was the drill, that was the motto. But apparently, I was being followed by the tall girl who hasn't given up. Paying attention to my phone she approached in front of me looking down as I looked up. I could already tell I'm getting irritated with this girl and I hardly even know her. "Peri," she said "what?" I looked up, my voice was sounding irritated cause I am now. "Your name is Peridot Greene, you've attended this school the same day I did"well duh" I sarcastically said to her rolling my eyes. That had to be the most obvious answer in history. "Now you have to teach me a lesson or two" I smiled sarcastically as I reached out for her phone in her hand giving her my number. Luckily my bus came the same time I finished adding my number in her contacts. "Congrats Lazuli you know your peer's name" I gave her phone back to her grabbing my bag and taking out my wallet. "I'll send you my address," I told her before I jumped on the bus and scanned my card. I sat in the way back plugging my earphones in and listening to the music. "God, why does everyone have to be annoying today.." I last thought before my mind became unconscious and I fell asleep leaning against the bus windows
