This story is about five boys and a star.

Five faded figures scurried around a telescope, taking turns to look into it, surrounded by the soft, comforting light of the star above. The ground beneath them split off into five paths, each one leading to their own home. At the edges of the paths, however, were unkempt plants and vines, like ocean waves, lapping at the edge of the safety of the path.
A ghostly white tree stood beside, the only one in a forest of darkness, filled with its sinister family.
Overhead, the star shone, protecting the figures from harm with their promise to keep together forever. A promise only kept if fulfilled.
