Tessa's P.O.V
Ethan Hemmings is the school's most popular boy. He isn't a player though. He was popular for his looks, money and family.
I quickly scrambled my way out to Eva, but I couldn't help but turn around to check up on him. What surprised me though, was that when I turned around, a pair of blue eyes were looking at me with what looked like amusement.
I blushed and turned away. Eva sent me a questioning look as I shrugged. "Are you blushing ?" She teased.
"N-no" I simply lied. *Hiccup*
Eva laughed "You're lying".You see, I can't lie. If I lie, I hiccup and I won't stop hiccuping until I tell the truth. Since the day Eva discovered this thing about me, she gave me the nickname 'Pinocchio'.
I sighed in defeat "Okay I was".
"You were what ?" Eva asked innocently batting her lashes at me. "Blushing" I mumbled. She grinned at me "Sorry? I couldn't hear you". "Evvvvv" I whined. "What ?" She had this weird looking smile plastered on her face. "Stop teasing me" I said, trying to sound mad which I knew I failed miserably at. She just shrugged as we both headed towards the cafeteria.
•••••••••After lunch, Eva and I parted ways to get to our classes. As I headed towards my English class, I stopped by my locker to get my books. Getting my books out of my locker, I jumped at the sound it made when I slammed it shut. I jumped even more when I heard a chuckle behind me. I turned around and jumped in shock when I met the pair of blue eyes I had seen earlier today.
My eyes widened in realization. "You're easily scared". His voice held amusement behind them. I mentally hit myself for being stupid.
"Uhhh... Ermm...". That was the only thing I mustered up after I basically ran away. I blushed again. I let my hair down to cover my cheeks.
"You don't have to be embarrassed you know?" I didn't realize he was trailing behind me the whole time.
"Why?" I asked, but my voice came out as a whisper. "Because it's natural to get nervous around me" he wiggled his eyebrows at me. I stopped myself from laughing and gave him a flat look.
"I mean why are you talking to me?" I mumbled hoping he wouldn't catch that and leave me alone. Either luck wasn't on my side today, or he just had elephant ears because he heard me and shrugged "I honestly don't know".
The bell rang indicating the start of the lesson. My eyes widened in realization. I turned around furiously and started sprinting towards my English class.
I was out of breath when I reached the class. The teacher wasn't here so he'll probably be late to class.
Walking to my desk at the back if the class, I sat down and got my notebook out.
My head shot up when I heard the sound of footsteps getting closer to my direction. His eyes never left mine and the smirk on his face widened when he noticed that the seat beside me was empty. I let my head down and let out a sigh of defeat. Lifting my head up, I almost fell out of my seat. Evan had his elbows on my table and his eyes were trained on my face.
He frowned. Why is he frowning? Evan stood up and took the seat beside me, his eyes never leaving the side of my face. I let it go, not knowing what changed his mood.
Mr. Blake, our English teacher, whom I didn't notice get in, cleared his throat to get out attention. I turned my head and blushed, embarrassed.
