Veronica POV:
Over the past couple days of discovering and handling all the these new feelings and enhanced senses has been amazing, but today is going to be a bit harder for me, a bit different. Tomorrow is the day Xavier and I got to lunch with my mother, I have to harbor the furor of being a werewolf and be myself as a human because my mother can never know anything of this.
It doesn't help that I'm scared in general of how this night will go, there's no telling if shit might hit the fan before I even get a chance to blow it. My stomach begins to grumble and there's a burning in my chest, I know I need to threw up but the moment I stand up my feeling of nausea is gone and I don't feel like I'm about to throw up.
"You ok?" Xavier asks, his eyesbrows scrunched and risen with concern.
"Yea, I was feeling sick but I'm ok now." I say sitting back down on the bed. He just nods his head and gives me a smile before turning back around to finish some work.
Xavier said there's a human that lives here, she's mated to a werewolf but she is still human. She said she'd be happy to help and critique for something that would seem weird if I met with my mother. She's a couple years older than me, so I hope her being close to my age doesn't alter her perception of our conversations. But I'd be lying if I said wasn't second guessing this, but only because she's been here for two years what if she's gotten so used to the conversations and routines then she won't be able to distinguish the difference between her old normal and her new normal.
"I can smell your anxiety going crazy."
"I can small your frustration driving you mad." I snap back.
His head appears over his shoulder with a curved smile sitting on his lips. He turns around in his chair to face me, "You're gonna hate me, but that was kinda hot." We both let out short bursts of laughter before I grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. Of course he caught it but instead of throwing it back he hugged it and puckered his bottom lip. "I thought you loved me?" He said pouting.
"Of course I do, that's why I chose to throw the pillow." I said blowing him a kiss.
"I love you too, but seriously what're you stressing about love?" He said getting up and sitting next to me.
"My moms crazy. I'm a werewolf. You're a werewolf. Our sons already a strong were-fetus. Oh and, my moms crazy." I smile.
"Your mom is old fashioned. You've only been a werewolf for five days, our son won't be here for 5 weeks, and you thought I was a human for four years. Guess what, so did your mom. You're going to be fine." He guarantees.
"Alright." I sigh as I sit in defeat.
"Great, now let's get ready because before we start practicing at restaurant or something we're gonna go hangout with Oscar in his new place."
"Sounds good to me."

After a little ways drive we found ourselves in the city, the glistening buildings, honking horns, people walking. It's crazy how easy it was to forget all this was my normal, I guess learning about werewolf's and flying into the Bermuda Triangle onto a island with a crazy ass werewolf temple, and being pregnant with the alphas baby can sort of take your mind off all that.
On a less anxiety filled note, I've been to this city before, they have the best mall and my friends and I used to make the drive to shop and get away from all responsibilities. It's crazy to think that was only a couple years ago, and in a month I'm going to be a mother.
