Hi! Here's a Rick chapter for the Rick stans <3
This is what you're wearing :)
8 months had passed since Rick Grimes had found you, left for dead on the side of the road. Your previous group weren't of the friendly kind and you had realised this pretty quickly. You packed your things one night and decided to get the hell out of there. But, they found you trying to leave and what they did to you when they caught you? Lets just say, it wasn't pretty.
After 3 ours of getting the shit kicked out of you, they shoved you into a car, blindfolded you and dumped you on the side of the road. They didn't think you'd last the night. Luckily, your night in shining armour arrived, in the form of a tall, handsome, scruffy bearded ex sheriff who took you to his camp in Alexandria, where you're still living 8 months later.
It's safe to say you took a liking to Rick, but there was this tiny little thing called 'a 20 year age gap' that made everything slightly harder. You never told him you liked him, but he knew, he never told you he knew, but he did.

You woke up earlier than usual this morning, and not being able to get back to sleep you decided to start your work a little earlier. You threw on your blue ripped jeans, a baggy white shirt, an oversized red and black plaid jacket and your light brown work boots, you decided to leave your hair down because it was practically straight already. It was still a little dark out so you didn't expect anyone to be up for at least another hour or so.
As you walked to the fences of Alexandria, you could see the silhouette of someone following behind you. You felt a little uneasy but you were inside the walls, so it had to be someone you knew. You kept walking and the shadow kept following, staying a few steps behind you. No one would be awake at this time so you had every right to feel like something was wrong. You reached down slowly for the knife that was in your pocket while you kept walking. In one swift motion you turned around quickly and held the knife to their throat.
"Jesus Christ Rick, you scared the fucking shit out of me. What are you doing?!" Your heart was beating in your ears. Rick's facial expressions hadn't even changed, he didn't look the slightest bit bothered that you were holding a knife to his throat.
"I saw you leaving early this morning, I thought it was unusual for you so I was checking that everything was alright. And, that you weren't sneaking off, never to return again." He sounded genuine, as if he really didn't want you to leave Alexandria. "Y/N? Can you- can you lower the knife? Please?"
"Oh shit yeah, sorry. You just frightened me is all." You lowered the sharp knife and decided to give him and explanation. You did just hold a knife to your leaders throat so that was the least you could do. "I couldn't get back to sleep so i'm going to clear the walkers from the front of the fences." You said, while walking swiftly towards to gigantic gates of Alexandria, your face burning from embarrassment.
"Mind if I join ya?" He said softly. You turned around to see him stood in the same spot. His denim shirt hugging him in all the right places. He looked like a lost little puppy, waiting for your command.
"Sure!" You blurted out, maybe a little to eager. Rick laughed quietly as he quickened his pace to catch up to you. You walked in a comfortable silence for a little while until he finally spoke again.
"I'm sorry if I scared you. Just making sure you weren't skipping out on us, you know?" his voice was low, but he sounded concerned almost. This place was your home now, and sure as hell wouldn't be leaving here any time soon.
"Rick, you know I wouldn't leave Alexandria. You're my family now. There are people here that mean the absolute world to me and I'd be lost without them." He was hoping you meant him. He wanted to be the reason that you stayed with them. But he couldn't admit that to you. "You of all people should know that."
"Good. That's good to hear." It suddenly dawned on you, you hadn't thanked him for saving you that day.
"Hey um, I forgot to thank you." You said, practically a whisper.
Rick was genuinely confused. "For what?"
"For saving me. I never thanked you. How rude is that, you saved my life and I didn't even say thanks." You scoffed at the thought. "I'd be dead if it wasn't for you Rick. You saved me, in more ways than one."
A small smile appeared on his face. You looked into each others eyes for a moment, and you wanted nothing more than to kiss him, to kiss him until it hurt. As if he was reading your mind, he looked down at your lips and placed his hand on the side of your face. Your breathing was uneasy and your thoughts were clouded.
He bent down and kissed you softly. You'd been waiting for this for 8 months. His soft lips were everything you'd hoped for and more. It was like time had stopped, and you could stand there in each others arms for eternity. That's all you wanted. To stay here forever. But that wasn't possible.
Rick pulled away first, brushing the long Y/H/C hair out of your face, and staring into your deep Y/E/C eyes. "Well, this was long overdue, don't you think? He chuckled lightly. He didn't let go of your face, he stood there at the end of the street holding you in his arms. Almost as if he thought that this wasn't real, and letting you go would make you disappear and you'd never get this chance again. Now that he had you, he was never letting you go.
"I was so scared you were leaving this morning. I'd have done anything to make you stay."
"Well, I'm not going anywhere, Rick. I promise." You said, with a giant grin on your face. "You know, we have about 45 minutes to kill before we have to get to work around here, and I have a few ideas on how we should spend them." You said smiling taking his hand in yours.
"Oh really? Well, in that case I think we should make our way back to the house, don't you?." A devilish grin appeared on his face as he led you back to the house.
You walked hand in hand in a comfortable silence. You realised in this moment that this is where you wanted to be for the rest of your life, for however long that may be. With him. Everything was uncertain in these times, but you knew for sure that you'd always have each other. And that's all that mattered.
