Mackenzie's P.O.V

"First day of school!" Mom said through the chilly morning air. The nice smell of Mom's signature breakfast woke me up. "C'mon Kenzie. you don't wanna be late don't you?" "COMING MOM" i said as i jumped out of the bed, grabbed my stuffs, and ran down the stairs.

Oops, escuse myself. I'm Kenzie Hathaway short for Mackenzie. Daughter of Cassandra and Jacob Hathaway. I've got one big brother, Michael; Mike. And my little sister Bev, short for Beverly. I've got one bestfriend since i moved here to Beach Gate, East Coast. Her name is Neala La Havre, she's from a British family, She just moved from England 2 years ago. And, she was my classmate in this Course we took together.. 

"BYE MUMM, LOVE YA!" "Bye mum love you" "Bye mommy, love you!" Me, Mike and Bev said as we kissed mum in the cheek.

"Don't forget to say bye to your dad before going to school, kids." 

"Dad has gone to work early today.."

"Oh.. Did he? Oh okay. Bye, Take care kids.." Mum said as we leave her into the front porch.

I put my red converse on, and said "So.. Are you ready guys?"

"Yea! it'll be fun. we're going to the same school again! i'm a Freshmen, youre a Sophomore, and, well, you're a senior, Mike." Bev said as she started to walk in front of me and Mike.

"Yeah.."

The walk to school continued as we talked about how fun this would be. Making new friends, Making new memories, and of course, this isn't highschool without making a few enemies.

As we stepped in and got very astonished by the properties at school. Seems like everything they own is Beach Themed. Even the students are wearing Beach clothes such as see-through clothes and shorts pants. And, nobody even seems to mind.

"KENZIEEE!!" Familiar voice seems to call me.

"NEALAAAA!!" I replied hugging her.

"I miss you!"

"I miss you too! So, where is our homeroom?"

"Well, we're not in the same homeroom. I'm with Mr. Andrew and you're with Mr. Beck."

"Mr. Beck?"

RIIIINGGG!!!!

"Ooh, Let me take you to your homeroom. It's close to mine's actually. we're in the same floor. You're class is the first one to the right, and then It's the seniors class, another seniors class, and then my homeroom!"

"O... kay.. i think i get that.."

We walked together to my homeroom.

"Bye!" Neala said

"Bye!" i replied.

i knocked on the door, and came in. everybody was looking at me.

"Hi! you must be Ms. Hathaway!"

"Yes. Mackenzie Hathaway."

"Sit down, Ms. Hathaway."

Mackenzie, I muttered under my breath. And, escuse me Mister, i dont like being called Miss. 

I looked over the class. There is only one seat left, next to a girl with blonde hair.

"Hi, can i sit here?" i said

"Sure!" the girl said with a little bit of French accent. "I'm Hazel. Hazel Beaudelair"

"I'm Mackenzie."

"I know, you just said it in front of the whole class."

"Yeah.." i said and smiled to her.

"So, class, this is the sit you'll all be sitting in for this semester."

"And now, let's talk about the rules.."

The class went super boring after that. Finally, the bell rings.

RIIIINGGG!!!

Everybody went out of the class. I walked all the way to the 3rd floor all by myself, when suddenly..

"Hey!" a cute tall boy talked to me.

"Umm.. Hey?" i called back.

"You're new here aren't you?"

"Uh, yeah.."

"Umm, sorry, I'm Nick. Nick Peters'

"I'm Kenzie Hathaway. Short for Mackenzie."

'Oh.. Cool! Hahah. Uh, look, i gotta go. bye!"

"Bye?"

Whoa, thats weird. I thought to myself as i walked to my English class.

Knock, Knock. I knocked to the wooden door and came in. I scanned the class to find another free seat. Oh look! It's Hazel! I thought as i sit right next to her.

"Mackenzie!!"

"Hey!" I replied as i sit and scanned the class for one more time to find for any familiar faces. When suddenly,

"Nick?" i said to myself, which was probably too hard to hear.

"Huh? What was that?" Hazel said.

"Umm, Nothing.. Uh, Anyway, Hazel, whose that tall brunette boy with the navy blue shirt?"

"Oh, That's Nick. What's the matter?"

"Nothing.. Does he got a girlfriend?"

"OOH! SOMEBODY GOT A CRUSH ON--"

"Shhhh. I dont want anybody to know."

"Yes. He got a girlfriend. Her name is Avalon Hewitt. but everybody calls her Avie."

"Seriously? He just talked to me in the hallway."

"Really?"

"Yea.. Do you think he got a Blackberry or a Twitter?"

"Yeah.. but i don't have his pin number or his Twitter username. But i would love to help you find it! It'll be fun!"

"REALLY? OMG Thanks sooo much!!"

"Yeah.. Anytime!"
