Hello, my name is Razor, my real name is Andrea Thompson, but I go by Razor, so my ex doesn't find me and kill me. Talking about my ex I'm here to tell you how I survived his abuse and how I'm living now he is gone. I'm 21, I have long, wavy brown/red hair, brown eyes, I have dimples when I smile, I'm very athletic and I love working out, cooking and baking.
I live with my best friend Joel, he saved me from my ex and my suicide attempts, he is the reason I got out and am living today, I haven't left my house in over a year in fear of my ex hurting me or Joel, I'm better now, well I have nightmares, anyway I'm off to bed I'm tired, I fall asleep quite quickly.
"Please stop hurting me" I begged him, but he just kept hitting me, each hit got harder, I don't know what I have done this time, but he was mad, "what did I do wrong? Please I promise I won't do it again" I begged again "SHUT UP YOU USELESS BITCH, ITS YOUR FAULT SHE DOESN'T WANT ME" he roared at me, I kept quiet knowing if I didn't he would kill me. I know its not my fault, I offered to leave but he laughed at me and said no because he needed a punching bag, the beating lasted for hours, I honestly thought he was going to kill me
I wake up covered in sweat and tears streaming down my face, why did he do that to me? I ask myself, my door suddenly opened, I covered myself knowing Joel heard me screaming and crying. "Razor uncover yourself, I heard you screaming and I know your crying" he said gently, I feel him climb into my bed and I uncover myself and climb into his arms "its okay Pumpkin I'm here now, he's not going to hurt you anymore" he says playing with my hair as I cry.
"why did he hurt me? What did I do wrong?" I ask "Razor you did nothing wrong, he was a piece of shit who used your gentle heart against you" Joel said pulling me closer to him and wiped my tears away "Razor he's gone now, he's never coming back, your safe now baby girl, I promise" I hear Joel say as I fall asleep.
I wake up at 5am and get ready for the day, I have a shower, while in the shower I decide that we are going to the beach, I get out, put my bikini on and my favorite dress, I'm not letting what he did to me control me anymore, I feel good about today but I'm also terrified as this is the first time I will be leaving the house since he disappeared. I go downstairs and make myself a coffee.
As I'm making my coffee Joel's boyfriend Tyler calls me "good morning gorgeous, Joel told me last night was bad, I'm on my way to give you the biggest cuddle" Tyler says as soon as I answer the phone "good morning, we are going to the beach today" I say "are you sure? Are you ready to face the outside world?" he questions me "yes Tyler, I am not letting what he did control me, if I cant handle it we will leave, I promise" I say confidently "okay gorgeous, if you really want to we will, want an iced coffee? I'm at Starbucks" he asks, "you know me so well, 4 shots today please!" I reply "okay I'll be there in 20 minutes, bye gorgeous" he says hanging up
I make sausages, pancakes, hash browns and bacon for breakfast, I plate up 3 plates, and then I make sandwiches and pack the picnic basket with plenty of snacks, I then load the esky with plenty of water and ice, I hear the shower turn on upstairs and check the time, its 7:30am, 20 minutes later Joel comes downstairs and grabs me from behind "why did you leave me young lady? Did you have another nightmare?" he asks hiding his face in my neck.
"No, I just couldn't sleep anymore, eat your food we have a big day ahead of us" I say and sit at the table to eat, Joel follows and starts eating "what are we doing today?" Joel asks me "we are going to the beach, oh and Tyler will be here any minute" I reply, Tyler walks in and sees Joel's face "don't even think about it Joel, she says she's ready so we are doing this, if she cant handle it we are leaving, I've already made sure of this" "but babe, she has the same nightmares every night" he says worriedly "Joel I'm ready okay, if you don't want to believe in me I will go myself" I say getting annoyed and upset "okay baby girl, I was just making sure that you are sure, I will be here every step of the way" he replies giving me a cuddle.
We finish breakfast about 8:00, Joel and Tyler go upstairs to change "we are leaving in 20 minutes so hands to yourselves" I yell laughing "SHUT UP RAZOR" they yell at the same time, I finish the dishes and the boys come down "put the esky and basket in the car I'll be out in a minute" I tell them going to my room to get my beach bag I packed and grabbed my soccer ball. I go out to the car and jumped in the driver seat, I start the car and drive to a beach 20 minutes away.
We get to the beach about 9:00am, I freeze "you okay Razor?" Joel asks "yes I am, I just needed a minute, let's go" I say and get out of the car. The boys carry the esky and basket, we sit near the lifeguard tower, I lay my towel out and take my dress off and run to the water. I feel someone staring at me, but I don't let it get to me, I feel at peace, like I'm one with the water.
About an hour and a half later I get out of the water and start heading to where the boys are sitting, as I'm walking I notice this really cute lifeguard staring at me "take a picture it lasts longer" I say as I walk past, he looks down blushing. I get to the boys and Joel hands me a bottle of water "how are you feeling gorgeous?" Tyler asks me, "I'm so glad I decided to do this, I finally feel at peace, like I'm one with water, I'm finally genuinely happy" I reply smiling "I'm so proud of you Razor, you have come a long way in the last year" Joel says cuddling me.
"Don't look now but cute lifeguard coming this way" Joel whispers to me "OMG Joel do I look okay?" I ask "you look absolutely gorgeous" I hear from behind me "hey I'm Blade, I just couldn't help but notice that your smile is so beautiful and genuine" the cute lifeguard introduces himself "hello Blade, I'm Razor, thank you so much, these two brats here are my best friends Joel and Tyler, they are together" I introduce us "can I get your number?" he asks me "sure cutie" I say handing him my phone and he passes his to me "my lunch break is at 12:30, would you like to come with me?" he asks me "I'd love that, ice cream?" I ask him "sure, see you then" he says going back to work.
I grab my soccer ball and start kicking it around "hey, mind if we join?" some random boys asked "sure I'm Razor" I say "we're Jack and Josh, we seen you kicking the ball, where did you learn to play like that?" Jack answers "I used to play for years, then I had a year break to get my life back on track" I reply kicking the ball to Josh "do you guys want have a gave two on two?" I ask as Tyler walks over "hi, I'm Tyler and my boyfriend is over there sleeping, his name is Joel" he introduces himself and Joel.
"okay so these are the goals, whoever wins has to buy the other two a drink" I say setting up the goals, "oh your on little lady" Jack says, we play until 12:20 "oh god, that was such a good game, your so good Razor remind to never make a bet with you again, hey can we get your number and well meet up for drinks?" Josh asks holding his phone out, I put my number in his phone "hey want to come over tonight? I'm having a fire and a few drinks" I ask the boys "sure, what time?" Jack asks "be there by 7" I reply.
