I need to make it home so I can make sure dad is okay. I was just outside of Dalton's town limits when something ran out in front of me, I swerved to miss it and ended up flipping the SUV I borrowed from Jane. Then everything went black.

When I came back around I crawled out from under the car and saw Nick standing there, "Nick, are you alright? What're you doing out here?" I asked walking towards him. When he turned around he had blood all over his face and clear down the front of his grey shirt, "oh my god!" I screamed. He lunged towards me, there was a huge thick stick laying on the side of the road. I bent down and picked it up before smacking him as hard as I could on the top of his dead. I stepped closer to him, he smelled like he'd been dead for days. I decided to head back to the ranch to see what was going on.

After a while of walking and dodging fleeing towns people and whatever they were I finally made it back to the ranch. I ran up the stairs and walked into the house, "Jane, Jack, are you here?" No answer. I walking into the kitchen and found a note on the table:

"Jamie,

Something very strange is happening. All the newscasters say to go to Atlanta, aim for the head, and avoid bites or scratches. We waited for you, but figured you made it back home. In case you're reading this, know we love you and are praying for you. When you do make it home and you're reunited with your parents and Carl tell them that we love them. We didn't want to leave, but we had to. We hope you understand.

             Love,

Jane and Jack"

Something bad must've happened, the vehicle was still here and blood smears were all over the place. I decided to continue on home, but first I was going to go to Lisa's house and grab them, if they'll  come with me since I killed Nick. I ran upstairs and grabbed what guns and ammo were left, then grabbed the bags of food and bottles of water they had packed. I got into my truck and drove to Lisa's house.

Once I got there I ran inside, "Lisa? Jenny? Mark? Anyone home?" I walked further into the house, 9 mm strapped to my thigh. When I walked into the living room I found Jenny on the floor with a 12-gauge shotgun and Mark's body on the floor, "Jenny, oh god! Are you okay? Where's Lisa?" I asked looking her over.

"I'm fine, Lisa is upstairs. Mark he came home, he'd been drinking, then he just went nuts, he attacked and bit Nick. Then Nick left saying he was done. I made Lisa go upstairs and lock the door, and told her not to come out no matter what she heard. Please go up there and check on my baby girl and the baby," Jenny begged.

"Okay, sit tight, I'll be back then I'm getting you guys the hell out of here," I ran up the stairs.

I was half way up the stairs when I heard Jenny say softly, "God forgive me," and she shot herself in the head. I stopped for a second then kept going because I knew I had to get her out of here.

                               "Lisa?" I called.

"Jamie? Oh my god! You have to get me out of here! It's not healthy for the baby. I heard mom, I know she killed dad, and Nick that bastard just left me here!" she said.

"It's okay,I'm here now. Grab some clothes and we're going. We have to stop in King county to see if my dad and them are there, and if not, we're going to Atlanta. We leave in 5," I said.
