Blu:
The first day of college should make you happy to get away from your parents, as for me it's forced upon me because of my father.
Being the son of a high-powered criminal, turning my bike off as I rushed into the dorm registration.
"Hi, Blu Lopez signing in," I smiled at the lady who rolled her eyes and typed in my name.
After handing me the keys to my room and books for my classes I walked into the blocks of male dorms looking for mine.
"16, 17, 18,...ah this one," my eyes shot open wide seeing him...
"Um... Hello," I said quickly, dropping my bag on the bed. He looked at me and smiled I noticed his brown hair very short and shaggy but it fit him well, his dark green eyes the jawline that was defined and neat his skin was baby smooth I was surprised whether or not he had even shaved didn't look like he owned any hair anywhere else but on his head. About the same way it is, I am walking closer holding out my hand to shake his.
"Hello, I'm Xander, welcome to Cross Creek." His voice sounds as if he could be a singer, neat, quiet, and low.
"Thank you, so I guess we're roommates," I was trying to find a way of making conversation. He wasn't cold to me and he didn't seem like he was a rude person. He has yet to drop his smile. I thought that was cool.
"I guess so!"
Immediately our heads shot to the ceiling as the bell rang for classes.
"Morning class?"
"Nope, you..."
"Nope me neither would you like to catch coffee,"
"Sounds good..."
Days had passed and I found myself one thing always being where Zander was. I felt like a stalker sometimes, but I just wanted to be near him. Whenever he came to the room I'd find ways of making conversation. He didn't seem to mind, but I just had to know.
Scrolling through my phone I hear the door open and my eyes immediately shut up with a smile. I see those pretty green ones. But he didn't smile back, instead, he rolled his eyes and smacked his teeth. It hurt my feelings but I knew he was probably tired. Classes were becoming more excruciating and stressful not to mention we both have sports. He plays soccer and I play baseball so I just lowered my head returning to my phone.
"You okay?" He said patting my knee,
"Um.. yes. Are you?" The return question made my eyes stare straight into his but he still didn't smile.
"Yeah, just mad coaches being a jerk." He scratched the back of his head, I watched us sweat from his hair flickered everywhere.
"I have those days too." This little conversation seemed as if he was looking for something to say. I guess we have already said everything we had to say to each other.
"How about a movie?" like a teenage girl I popped up quickly crossing my feet waiting for that smile. I don't know what it is about his smile but it just seemed I needed it in order to feel a little bit better.
"Oh yeah! Sure." I pretended as if his tension didn't affect me but it kind of did. I also understood that training was off the walls lately. With tournaments coming up we just had to find a way of keeping our heads held hard and hope that we won.
"Hey Blu, don't take this the wrong way but are you gay?" It's not that I haven't heard that before and I don't want to hide who I am. I honestly wanted to wait a little more time before telling him but I guess the sooner the better.
