In Nagoya, Japan, an office worker named Hiromi Shimizu is on a train.
She is exhausted.
A red key chain is on her purse.
Some girls are playing in the back seats, laughing while playfully throwing a duffle bag back at each other.
Hiromi tries to stay awake for she doesn't want to fall asleep and miss the next stop so she could go home.
"Hey hey, did you know that on the roof of the community center, severed heads appear? It used to be an death penalty execution spot, so many heads were cut off there".
One of the girls said.
"No way. I heard that it happens in the girl's bathroom at school too. Is it the same"?
Another girl replied, throwing the duffle bag at her friend, only to miss her target and accidentally hitting Hirmoi Shimizu instead.
The office worker woke up with a startle after dozing off for a few minutes.
She turned around and picked up the duffle bag.
"Hey, why are you guys making so much noise about a stupid story"?
Hiromi asked them, throwing the duffle bag back at one of the girls, who immediately caught it in her hands.
After a few seconds, the kids just laughed and then they continued to play with each like nothing had ever happened.
Moments later, the fast speeding train went past the railroad crossing sign and then was out of sight.
Hirmoi Shimizi began making her way home after a long day of labor.
"So disgusting..."
She groaned.
"I'm just tired from work today".
The office worker walked up the stairs leading to the ramp of the train yard.
As she went along, the sound of something scuttling was heard in the distance.
Hiromi stopped and turned around to look behind her, and the wind blew in her hair.
When she started to walk away, the sound was closer than before.
"TekeTekeTekeTeke"...
Hiromi couldn't see who or what was making that eerie noise.
It was getting dark outside, so the young woman decided to pick up the pace and she ran away from the area.
Another train passed by the railroad crossing.
Teke Teke began to go after the woman and she was crawling towards her target at full speed in no time.
It was the red keychain on Hiromi's purse that triggered the legless spirit.
Hiromi ran towards a tunnel and stopped for a minute to see if the thing was still chasing her.
Teke Teke was still crawling quickly towards her.
"TekeTekeTekeTeke".
Hiromi gasped in fear and took off running again.
She was breathing in and out rapidly as she ran as fast as her legs could carry her.
After a while, Hiromi managed to hide from the threat.
TekeTeke stopped by the area and then crawled away to wait for her target to come back out of hiding.
Waiting in the dark for right moment to strike.
Scared out of her wits, Hiromi took her time to catch her breath.
As she stood there hidden behind a alley, she began to overhear some children in a nearby building arguing over the specifics of an urban legend.
"Listen to me. Do you know what you can see in the mirror"?
A little boy asked his friends.
"Yeah I know, when you look into a mirror at 12 o'clock at night, you can see a death god".
Another boy replied.
"No, you can see your dead face".
The little boy corrected him.
"No, a death god".
The other boy argued.
"I said dead face".
"No, that's not right".
After a few minutes had passed, Hiromi decided to come out of her hiding spot.
She cautiously looked around the deserted area in all directions, and then slowly stepped out into the street.
But right around then, the wind started blowing in her hair again and Teke Teke appeared again.
Hiromi gasped when she saw the entity with her own eyes, and backed away against the wall screaming.
With a swift movement, Teke Teke sliced the woman in half by the lower torso.
The blood was splattered everywhere.
Hiromi lay on the ground covered in the red liquid and then she looked up to see her lower torso fall to the ground.
The last thing that she heard before she died were the boys talking and the scuttling noise in the distance.
"No, death god".
"You're so stupid. Everyone said it".
"Then, do you know...
"...TekeTeke"?
