Nathan's P.O.V

I get up and go through my normal morning routine before school, and after eating some sugary cereal, I leave home for the bus stop.

I hate the bus ride. Bus rides are shit. It's basically all nerds that don't have a ride to school otherwise. I don't have a ride because I don't have an older brother or sister, and my parents are always working, so no ride for me until I'm 16. I'm only 15 now though, so I'll guess I'll have to suffer.

I finally get to school and head to my friends. I get a warm welcome of "Hey Nathan"s and "What's up dude"s.

We all talk about the homework we were supposed to do, but didn't because we actually have lives and have better things to do than homework. I'm just standing there when someone totally runs into me.

"Watch where the fuck you're going!" I say angry. Once I get reoriented I see it's Chrystal. One of the nerds.

"Sorry!" She says and scurries away. God, what's her problem?

Chrystal's P.O.V

Sleeping. Sleeping. Sleeping. BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I'm pulled out of my slumber by my devilish alarm clock. I'm late. Dammit! I rush to change into decent cloths. I skip breakfast. I brush my hair the best I can, slip on my high tops, and shove a stick of gum in my mouth before grabbing my backpack and running out the door, the bus looking like it's just about to leave.

I hop on just before it closes it's doors. I choose my usual seat in the back and pop in my ear buds, listening to my favorite band. Bus rides are nice. I can sleep and listen to music for an HOUR. How soothing

I get to school and am greeted by Beth.

"Well hello Chrystal Darling." She says in her weird voice she knows I dislike.

"Hey Beth. You finish the homework?" I ask.

"Of course. I can't fail." She responds.

Uck.

I may be smart, but I'm just too lazy to put in that effort. This years work is so much harder than last year. I wish I could be a freshman again. Being a sophomore sucks.

I'm walking beside Beth, lost in thought, when I bump into someone and fall on the ground. I look up.

Anyone but him!

I just so happened to have bumped into one of the most popular boys in my grade. Nathan. I barely know him, but I know messing with him means nothing but trouble.

"Watch where the fuck you're going!" He yells.

"Sorry!" I squeak out before running away. Why can't I just pay attention and just go unnoticed throughout high school?
