This is a play on Nick's flashback from Disney's Zootopia but with a more BNA: Brand New Animal like feel, since there are humans and other creatures in this world.

14 year old Yuuki Miyagi was so excited. It was his first time joining any type of Scouts program, and he felt honored to be the first neko Boy Scout. He fluffed up his ears and walked in the building. There was a sign he saw when he first got in: "Go 2 basement 4 initiation." It had bad handwriting, but he made it out and found his way to a flight of stairs. "H-Hello, nya?" Yuuki called down them. "Right down here!" A voice called. Yuuki sped down the steps, tail bouncing behind him.
He reached the bottom and saw about 6 to 8 boys his age. "You ready for this?" one of them asked. "Heck yeah! Nya!" A tall kid about 6 inches taller than the 5'3" Yuuki stood in front of him. "Recite the Scout's honor." He said. Yuuki took a deep breath, then grinned and started. "I swear that I, Yuuki Miyagi, will be kind, loyal, faithful and trustworthy while I'm in this group!" The tall boy smirked. "Even though you're HALF human?" "Nya…?" Yuuki's ears went down in sudden fear.
The neko suddenly felt a sharp pain between his legs and he fell to his knees in tears. He was pushed over and some other boys grabbed his arms and legs, pinning him to the floor. The tallest boy walked over to them with something shiny and metal.
As soon as Yuuki saw it, he started thrashing wildly. "NO!!! NO!!! NYAAAA!!! ANYTHING BUT THE MUZZLE!!! NO!!! I WON'T LET YOU!!!" He hissed like a cat would. He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his stomach, followed by the inability to breathe. The wind had been knocked out of him. Utterly defeated, the main bully easily slipped the muzzle behind Yuuki's head and over his mouth.
"You're a freak! Don't you get it?! You don't belong with us!" The boys had let go, and Yuuki, once he could breathe, shot up immediately and started scratching at the muzzle. "Grrrt thhsss mmmfffff!" He tried calling for help, to "get this off", but they all started laughing. "Awwwww, poor little kitty~!" One jeered. He teared up with shame and ran up the stairs.
When he was finally outside the building, he scratched and clawed at the restraining device with all his might before it finally came loose. He threw it far in the opposite direction and started sobbing uncontrollably.
"....nobody likes me in this world…ALL BECAUSE OF THESE STUPID EARS AND THIS DAMN TAIL!!!"
