The night has arrived for Prince Seokjin's declaration. Fairies of every kind inhabited the King's palace and courts to celebrate their future king. Seokjin, along with Hobi, gathered with Taehyung and Yoongi, another royal, talking among themselves while observing the crowds.

"Hm, there is nothing like a castle filled with twinkling beauties and fountains of wine for the taking," Taehyung spoke, tipping his glass to his lips.

"That is something we both can agree to," Hobi added.

Seokjin sighed as he surveyed the crowd, smiling awkwardly each time he recognized himself being ogled. A mild discomfort blanketed him with every passing glance, followed by a wonder of who his chosen will be.

Yoongi acknowledged the prince's anxious features. "Cheer up, your majesty. The choosing will be over as quickly as it begins, and you will be off to court with your future queen."

The others turned their attention to Seokjin, eager for his response. Seokjin smiled slightly and nodded. Blaring trumpets sounded before he spoke as the King alongside the Queen called for the attention of the crowd. "Everyone," the King spoke, "wonderful fairies of Pixaclaire, we gather here tonight for the declaration of my son, the Prince. Tonight he will unite with his chosen and coronated as the new King of Pixaclaire!"

Applause and shouts filled the room as the prince sauntered towards his parents, bowing before taking his place next to them.

"Now then, let us begin. Sanya, would you step forward?" The King summoned.

Out of the audience, a beautiful caramel-skinned fairy, with long flowing auburn hair, flitted from the crowd to the center of the room, bowing to the royalty before her. "Your majesties." She greeted.

"Welcome, Sanya." The Queen spoke. "Shall we begin?"

Seokjin glanced over to his parents. The Queen noticed the anxious look in her son's starry, slate-colored eyes. "Don't worry, son. This is an exciting time." The Queen spoke timidly.

Seokjin stared out at all the beautiful, unwed fairies who were now in the center stage of the ballroom. "Prince Seokjin, if you may," Sanya called out to the royal. Seokjin stepped down from the throne, taking a saunter towards Sanya. Not a stranger to him, but he has never been in her presence for more than a few minutes.

In immediate awe of her beauty, her glistening sapphire stare held his attention as a smile curved on her rouge lips. Sanya bowed once more when in the presence of Seokjin. "You are a special one." She spoke. Sanya squinted a bit with a slight nod. "Interesting. I have the same thoughts, sire."

Seokjin's eyes widened. "You know what I'm thinking?"

Sanya smiled. "I know more than you could imagine. Please take my hand." Seokjin rested his hand on Sanya's pillowed palms. "Close your eyes and take a deep breath." She spoke. Doing as he was told, Seokjin felt his racing heart calming.

Sanya closed her eyes too, smiling as she received the vision of the face belonging to the future Queen of Pixaclaire. "My, just as I expected." She mumbled.

Seokjin's eyes darted open in anticipation of the seer's response. The silence of the crowded room was deafening as everyone awaited her announcement. Sanya opened her eyes and smiled. "Special indeed."

"What does that mean?" Seokjin wondered.

Sanya exhaled. "Your majesty, I'm afraid I cannot give you the bride you seek here tonight."

Gasps and whispers from the audience echoed in the room.

"What do you mean, Sanya?" The King wondered.

Sanya stepped away from Seokjin, granting her attention to the King and Queen. "It means the future queen is not in Pixaclaire. She's in another realm."

A wave of gasps and whispers echoed the royal hall. The King and Queen glanced at one another before turning their attention back to Sanya. "Another realm, you say?" The King asked.

Sanya bowed. "Correct sire. The one who Prince Seokjin will seek is not here in Pixaclaire."

Seokjin, shocked by this information, walked over to Sanya. "Can you tell me more, Sanya?"

Sanya turned to him, smiling. "Yes, but perhaps somewhere private."

Hearing this, the King called the attention to the crowd, telling them to proceed with the celebration. The music played once more and everyone carried on as commended. "Come with us." The King motioned to Sanya and Seokjin.

Seokjin shot a glance over to Taehyung, who scurried over to his cousin and followed them into a private room west of the ballroom. Upon approaching, the King nodded to the guards standing by the doors before closing them behind him.

"Sanya," the Queen began as their privacy shielded, "Can you tell us what you saw?"

Seokjin watching with anxious eyes as Sanya turned to him. "It seems as if your majesty chosen is among the mortals. Beautiful, but ignorant about her destiny."

"A mortal?" The King shouted. "How could a mortal become the future queen of Pixaclaire? That's absurd!"

"But not unheard of, sire." Taehyung chimed in. All eyes fell to Taehyung, who bowed at the attention. "If you may recall, there is mortal blood in our linage. Your great, great, great grandfather was mortal. The Queen had to visit the mortal realm to seek him." Taehyung explained.

"He's right," Seokjin added. "I read it in the history."

The King shook his head before glancing at the Queen. "I'm not sure of this. I know the histories, but we have cleansed the mortal heritage with fairy blood for years. Why is this happening now?" He grunted.

"Just because we haven't had this happen in a while doesn't mean our family history is wiped completely of it, dear. It is a part of us, of our son. Would you deny our son his destiny? Who are we to say?" The Queen spoke.

"Mother, father," Seokjin spoke. "May I have a moment with Sanya?"

"Very well, son." The Queen spoke as she took the King by his hand and exited the room.

Taehyung was about to leave as well.

"No," Seokjin spoke. "You stay Taehyung, I may need your wisdom."

Taehyung smirked, for he was always willing to be among the audience when Sanya was around. There was no secret he took a liking to her. "If you insist, sire," he bowed and took his place next to Sanya, winking at Seokjin.
