We left Glasgow almost as soon as we woke up, the chilly February air feeling even colder than usual after just having tumbled out of our warm sheets. We were on our way to Cardiff, and since we'd be getting there so late in the afternoon, we wouldn't have time for a concert, so we had a day off scheduled. A whole evening to do whatever we wanted. But not before we had to spend 7 hours on a tour bus. And things were getting heated.

"Aw, c'mon lad! You cheated!" Louis said, pointing accusingly at Niall.

    "No, I didn't!"

"We all saw you look at Liam's cards!" said Zayn.

"It was so obvious!" Harry said, throwing his cards down on the table.

A game of "Go, Fish!" had gone south.

"Roxie, do you think I cheated?" Niall asked exsaperatedly.

"Oh, you totally did. Literally everyone saw it," I said, my arms crossed.

"I thought you were on my team!"

"'Go, Fish!' has no teams, Niall!" Zayn shouted.

"I know! It's just- Roxie usually takes my side on everything," he said, pouting.

"No idea where you got that idea from," I said, sighing. "Alright, pass me your cards. Let's try this again. Without cheating." I shot a look at Niall, who only held his hands up in surrender.

Everyone threw their cards in my direction, still shouting at Niall, who was futilely attempting to defend himself. I shuffled the cards, chuckling to myself. I love these kids.

"Jesus, she won again!" Liam said, thumbing through his losing cards.

"How in the world did you just win 16 rounds in a row?" Louis said, shaking his head in disbelief.

"A master never reveals her secrets," I said with a wink. I started shuffling the cards, cutting the deck repeatedly. "One more round?"

"No, I'm done," Niall said as he stood up. "My pride can't take any more of this."

Everyone else stood up with him, murmuring in defeat.

An idea. "I'll treat whoever beats me to an Egg McMuffin when we get to our hotel. There's a McDonald's right across the street from it."

I saw all the boys' eyes light up almost imperceptibly, but I knew they were hungry and that my food bribe had a high chance of working on them. My stomach growled. I guess I'm hungry too. I was embarrassed about how much I was craving McDonald's.

"Tempting, but no," Harry said. I groaned; my plan was foiled.

"But I thought the fastest way to a man's heart was through his stomach!"

"You're wrong. It's through his ego. Next time, let us win one," Niall said, sliding into his bunk and closing the curtain.

"Aw, come on, guys! One more game? No one wanna try their luck against the reigning champ? Maybe take back the title?"

"You know what, I'll take you up on that," Louis said, sitting back down.

"Thanks, Louis, but we can't play 'Go, Fish' with only two people." I shot pleading looks to the other boys, but they were already back in their bunks for an afternoon nap.

"It's ok," said Louis. "We'll play a different game." He took the deck of cards and started shuffling absentmindedly. "Crazy 8's?"

I then saw him look around, but not in a passive way, like he was making sure there was no one else in the room but us. I raised an eyebrow at him.
