Leaving Leviathan

A week has passed since the raid of Leviathan and many have been lost, but the Sentinels have fend off the Demons. Green, tired and stressed by the attack decided to set a burial to those who have fallen to honor their bravery to protect their families.

It's been a tough time, the Demons have grown more and more in numbers, yet thankfully the Sentinels have grown stronger in power.

Green walks around the Guardian's Palace worried and thinking what to do next. He sees the gate opening and sees Shape walking in. Shape is the only Demon known to join the Sentinels in the entire history.

"You alright Green? Haven't seen you like this before, walking around like a headless chicken and all." Shape says to Green in his deep staggered voice.
"Hey, there's just been too much pressure on me recently. The raid last week, I've heard about a pack of Collosals.. We can't afford to send anyone there. It would end in a bloodshed.."
"Hey, Nothing me,you and Chara can't deal with. "
"One? Sure. But four of them at once? I'm not sure."
"There's four? Jesus.. we'd need few extra hands for that for sure... You don't seem to be in a good shape Green. You should take a break and let us handle all this."
"Perhaps. You think you could take care of Leviathan?"
"Heh. Sure i've led couple a thousands of demons back in my old days so shouldn't be too difficult." And you can be with your family."
"You know.. I always wanted to explore but i never had the time for it. Perhaps now it's a good time to head out there. Visit some other Kingdoms,
or something else."
"Whatever feels the best for you. Just tell Chara first yeah?"
"Of course i will. I don't want it to look like I've ran off. We'll be having a walk near the forest so I'll tell her then."
"Cool. Well i gotta get going.  See you later.. Or maybe not."
"Bye take care."

Green few minutes later starts walking home. As he reaches the bottom of the stairs leading up to the Palace he sees the statue of himself,Chara and Shape, built to honor their strength, courage and Loyalty to each other.

As Green walks the streets of Leviathan, he's greeted by many sentinels along his way. Before going home he decided to get some of Tera's favorite candy from a nearby small Inn.

Few minutes later Green reaches his home and already feels the warm presence of his Family. He opens the door and as always Tera goes and greets him with a hug and a happy smile.
"Hey sweetheart, how you doing?"
Green asks with a gentle smile
"Hi dad, I'm fine i missed you.."
"Me too Tera."
Then Chara comes from the living room and also greets Green.
"Hey, everything alright?"
"Of course. Are we ready to go?
"Sure just give me couple of minutes, you two can wait outside the gate if you want."
"Alright we'll wait outside then. Come on Tera."
"Mhm!"

Few minutes later, Green and Tera are waiting outside the walls of Leviathan on Chara.

"Is everything ok dad? You look sad."
"Don't worry everything's fine. I was just thinking about having a break, going into the wilds visit some places i never had the chance to visit."
"Oh that's nice.. Um can we go with you? Me and mom in mean."
"Sorry sweetheart I wanna go alone."
"Hm. Alright just tell mom though.. I don't want her to get scared or anything."
"Don't worry i will."

Soon after Chara arrives with a basket in her hand and they leave.
"What's that for?"
"I wanted to grab some fruits along the way."
"Oh okay."

Walking further and further away from the giant kingdom and arrive near a forest with a small creek humming away. "Man it's pretty out here." Tera says cheerfully.
"It is, beautiful day for a picnic no?"
"Yeah. I should've packed some food and a blanket. Sit under a tree, relax."
"Heh, remember those days? Back in College? I always used to sit under a tree either drawing people, writing my thoughts or writing poems."
"Yeah. I was an idiot back then. Always wanted to punch you in the face because you said "hi" to me or something and i didn't trust you.."
"You had your reasons."
"I guess... But still, i should've given a chance. Even a small one."
"It all went well after all didn't it? Look at us, I'd never expect to be in this situation. Definitely not with you. But I'm glad i am, i love you. Both of you."
"Yeah.. I love you too."
"You guys are cute." Tera interrupted.
"Shush."
"Don't shush me, it's true."
"Nu uh."
"Uh huh."
"Nu uh!"
"Uh huh!"
"Come on, quit."
"Hehe alright."

Half an hour later  they come to a stop.
"Should we head back?" Chara asks.
"Mmh yeah i guess."
"Sure just one thing I wanted to tell you."
"Okay."
"I'll go ahead alright?"
"Sure go on, I'll catch up. So.. what's up?"
"Well, i wanted to take a break. Go explore the wilds, visit some cities, and some other things."
"Oh okay. You're going alone?"
"Yes. I am. I hope you don't mind."
"If that's what you want i won't stop you.. Just promise me you'll take care of yourself. I don't want you to get hurt."
"Don't worry Chara I'll be fine. I promise."
Chara looks at Green. She sadly looks Green into his eyes and hugs him.
"Relax sweetheart. I'll be back."
"How long will be gone for?"
"For however long i need to. Not any longer nor sooner."
"Okay.. Are you going now?"
"Yes."
"...Well.. goodbye then. I love you."
"Goodbye sweetheart. Take care of yourself and Tera."
Green kisses Chara before finally departing on his journey..

...Only to find a horrific discovery...
