After sunrise. Y/N's POV

"Where are they?" I ask Mrs. Yang, who is confused too, as we can't find 'my friends' outside our ward.

"They were right here." Her eyes fell on another nurse entering the ward in which I was. "Min Ju!" she addresses the other nurse, who doesn't look much older than me. She looks at us and closes the door back that she had opened to get in.

"Those two men who were with her." Mrs. Yang points at me. "Where did they go?" I look at her with hopeful eyes.

"Jungkook was here a couple of minutes ago."

"Jungkook?" I ask them. They look at me, confused. "Oh! Jungkook! Yeah! Where is he now?" I have to pretend I know him or they'll call my real friends. Or worst, my parents.

"I don't have any idea but I think you would love to know that he has been the talk of our hospital since yesterday! Even the senior doctors has met and appreciated him for being brave enough to jump from THAT height." So the guy who saved me is Jungkook. "Although it was dangerous but if he hadn't done that, you wouldn't have been standing here. Girl, I am so jealous. You have not one but two handsome men by your side." I plaster a smile.

"Did you happen to see the other guy too?" I want to know everything about these people.

"The last time I saw him, he was beside your bed. Touching those scars." The cuts on my left hand. She is talking about them. She knows they are there. My hand subconsciously goes to the back. She is pointing straight at my insecurities.

Enough of human interaction. I want to return to my cozy room and sleep until one of my roommate forces me up for stupid reasons like classes. Half of which I am already failing. "L-leave them. Can you instead tell me where to go? You know, the exit?" I anxiously ask Mrs. Yang.

"I am sorry but we can't let you do that." Min Ju interrupts. "Because in cases like yours, we recommend that the patient gets an inpatient care service." I look at her, baffled.

"I am not a patient! Plus, Mrs. Yang and I have already discussed that. Mrs. Yang, please tell her what you said about me being ready to go." Mrs. Yang and I had a private conversation of about an hour or so in a room where I was called 'just to complete the formalities. After telling some lies, I was given the green light.

"Yes, the counselling session went great. I think you can guide her outside." Ju nods at Mrs. Yang's approval.

"What if I take her instead?" I hear a voice coming towards us from behind, but before I can turn around, I feel a hand wrap around my shoulder, softly pulling me towards its owner. I look up to see who this guy is. I have no idea. "After all, we came here together." He smiles at me casually. He must be one of my friends. I can already feel anger building up inside me.

"Jungkook! We were looking for you!" Min Ju just woke up everyone in this building. Even the ones on anesthesia.

"I thought of getting refreshed but I couldn't find banana milk so I went to a nearby store." Banana milk? At 7 a.m.? "But now that I am here, I think we can leave." He winks at her. There she goes, in a trance.

"Yeah," Mrs. Yang smiles, "have a great day."

"We will!" He guides me outside the building without taking his hand off my shoulder. Once we are outside, I escape from his grip.

"You ruined everything!"

"You sure?" He really thinks that I am grateful?

"You know what? I would have been thankful if you hadn't done anything when I jumped."

"You mean, slipped?"

"That's same."

His grin gets replaced with a serious expression as he steps closer. His dark eyes fixated on mine. "You don't get the chance to think twice when you slip." What makes him believe that I'd think twice? All of a sudden, it comes to me that we are too close. Too close to even be called friends. It seems like he notices my uncomfortable look and withdraws back to where he was standing earlier. "My car is in the parking. Let's go." Taking his keys out of his cargo pants pocket, he proceeds towards where apparently the parking is.

"I can go by myself." I protested. He stops and slightly turns around.

"By walk? Ok then. Go on." He thinks I can't go home without him driving me back? *mentally scoffs*.

7:54 a.m. Y/N's POV

We are in his car, and he is driving me back home because I forgot that I didn't have money on me to even take a bus. Usually, if someone would get to know what I did yesterday, they would either criticize me or say that they understand me, which they clearly don't, and recommend me to a psychologist, but he is silent. In fact, the GPS woman is the only one talking here.

"I have an offer." I scan his face as he doesn't compromise on taking his eyes off the traffic. "I'll be honest, my dad is a mafia leader." Well, getting shot sounds like a great way to die. "Don't worry, he is a man of principles. He doesn't harm people if he isn't paid for it." I would rather call this man money-minded. "He wants me to become the next leader but as I said, he is a man of principles so he asked me to prove that I am equally capable of saving and loving people as I am of hating and killing them. He trusts me on the later two qualities but as a proof of 'saving' and 'loving' I need you."

So, he saved me because he wants the leadership as an inheritance, and here I was on the brink of assuming that maybe people are less selfish than I thought them to be. "And why should I say yes? I get nothing out of it." I said, looking out of the window.

"Why? Think about it, if you earn my dad's trust, I become the mafia king and you become the queen. Living a luxurious life."

"Bold of you to assume that I want to live even after all this." I can feel him looking at me.

"Everyone knows that in mafia world, people often die and almost no one gets to know what happened to them." Sounds strangely attractive. "You think any normal girl would co-operate with me after knowing this? I can pay you. On top of that, you get to date me." He smirks.

Was he hanging around the bridge for any girl to come and jump off, so he can be sure that she won't be afraid to be introduced to his world because she's not afraid of dying? Wow, that's ridiculous.

"I need time to think about it." I said in a low voice. I had always thought about what would happen to my parents when they learned what their daughter had done. They raised me to be a fighter, and I was losing to myself.

We are in a familiar neighbourhood when he slowly drives us into my apartment's parking lot. Once we are parked, I unbuckle my seatbelt and step out of the car. His side of the door opens as well as he comes out too. Can he stop doing things I don't want him to do?

"I think twelve hours is enough for you to decide. Eight in the evening, meet me at Rosie's." I hummed.

"Y/N?" Shit. Lisa. "Where were you last night?" She is coming toward me, but her gaze is fixed on Jungkook.

"She was with me." It takes him just four words to ruin my image in a way that I can never build again. She looks at me with those what-the-hell-did-he-said eyes. Whatever she is fantasizing about, IT IS NOT GOOD. "It was a rough night." He adds, stretching his neck. I know metal chairs can be harsh on cold nights. But the way he's saying it sounds so wrong. I glare at him. He looks too genuine to be doing all this on purpose.

"She doesn't look like she can go rough." Lisa says, smirking. This is it. I immediately grab her arm and pull her towards the lift. "I want to talk to him!" She attempts to stop me, but I am not letting her go.

"We are getting late." I say as I press the button. Thankfully, the lift was on the second floor. Just a few seconds.

"Don't forget! Tonight at eight!" Jungkook yells his reminder to me. The lift is here. Empty. I push Lisa in, get inside after her, and punch our floor number.

"I know! Bye!" I shout back as the door closes. I can feel Lisa staring at me, having thousands of questions in her mind.

How was it, ARMY? Or should I say Y/N :P I hope you are looking forward to the next episode.
