Me, Maki and Himiko clamber out from underneath the piece of rubble which had protected us from death. It's bright. Almost like dawn just broke. We're all trying not to cry. We all lost someone we loved in this, but we survived. For their sakes. To keep their memories alive in our hearts for as long as possible. All of a sudden, it fades out and it's revealed to us that we were in a simulation. Slowly the three of us clamber out of our individual pods and regain our grips with reality. Maki and Himiko abruptly stop and stare behind me.
"Shuichi..? Is that you?" I swivel around to see none other than Kaede Akamatsu, the Ultimate Pianist and the first person to be executed.
Except. She wasn't in her Dangonronpa uniform. In fact, none of us were. We were all in the clothes that a "ordinary" high school student would wear. A casual school uniform.
